Default 2005 black fx4 build project MURDERELLA

Its been one year since i bought my new truck and i have came some ways with it so far so i figured i should start a build thread like i did with my previous f150, it will be a slower build as i live pay check to paycheck but i have so many plans with this truck and will try to keep up with this thread so here we go.

The day i drove it home, its an 05 fx4 had a little over 100k on it, pretty clean almost no rust besides the bumpers all stock besides the exhaust, true dual 2.5 inch pipes with only 2 high flow cats it is very very loud!!

The very next day i ordered a hbs 2.5 level kit and bought a lariat grill off CL and painted it black, soon as the level came i threw it in and painted the skid plates red since i had them off.

Found a real nice set of 275 70 18 cooper at3 tires on CL for cheap with like new tread so i picked them up just for temporary to fill the wheel wells in a little more and while i was at it i plasti diped the rims black and bought a new set of 4 inch mbrp exhaust tips and threw those on along with a magnaflow x pipe to cross the exhaust over for better flow and backpressure

Next i tinted the stock tails since i couldn't find any aftermarket ones i liked and picked up a new toolbox for the back.

Since mine is an 05 i didn't have a aux port on my radio so i bought a aftermarket double din touchscreen gps deck and wanted a little bit of bass so i got a shallow sub box with a JL w3 sub and 600 watt amp, nothing big but gives just enough bass and fits under the back seat for a nice clean look.

The 275s just didnt fill the wheel wells enough so i bough a set of 295 70 18 nitto trial graps, there just a tad smaller then 35s and i think they look great.

One of my buddy's installs window tint so i had him do the front windows to match the rear factory tint at 25% i love the outcome its crazy how much tinted windows changes the look, i also got a set of red f150 inserts for the emblems thanks to the gf for putting them in

I picked up a hypertech programmer off CL for pretty cheap, not the greatest one for the price i couldn't pass it up, i mainly wanted it just to change the shift points and to correct the speedo, i put it on the 87 octane tune and it woke the truck up quite a bit although i plan on getting a better one down the road but this one works fine for now.i also threw in a k&n drop in filter

Got a great deal on a set of rims on cyber monday so as soon as they came i put them on. 18x9 with 0 offset they poke out an inch or 2 nothing to much which is exactly what i wanted gives it a real aggressive stance , would of preferred -12s but they work for me

The other week i found another great deal on CL for a set of brand new in the box power tow mirrors for only $100 so i couldn't pass that, the caps are chrome which i don't like but when the weather starts to warm up in a couple months im going to paint them gloss black to match the truck, i also would love to find out how to wire the puddle light up on them so i might try to tackle that one day im bored

Things will be slow on the build for right now as in it is winter here in Wisconsin but the upcoming mods are very soon i am looking at buying a full suspension lift, i am stuck on getting a 4 or 6 inch lift but i want to get one on in spring, also since my front bumper has a few rust spots i want to upgrade to the 09+ bumper

Really nice truck man, but do you ever tired of all the "murdered out" trucks. Maybe a nice accent color to set it apart or like custom paint black and chrome. Just an idea.

Ever thought of redoing ur ford ovals and just switching the blue for red. It would really break up the front end and add a little contrast. Is ur head unit a stock ford navi
