Started about 8am this morning.. Just now pulled the truck out of the garage.. Highly frustrated. Compound is definitely NOT for the Novice.. A Orbiter/Polisher definitely is not the tool..

I'd the the paint to show through and clear up then somehow manage to fck it up again.. Ended up doing it by hand to eventually dulling it out again..

On minor jobs the clay bar, compound,polish, and wax would really bring out the luster in a vehicle..

This guy does a great job at detailing cars of all sorts. He makes great videos. Maybe some of his videos will help you out!

That compound dries in like two seconds.. I need four arms to be able to apply, rub, remove before it dries.. Damn sure aint easy to get off when it dries

What compound are you using? Mine has never dried out on me. Is it hot as hell right now?

are you using it in the sun suring the hottest part of the day? there's a reason professionals do stuff like this in the shade 👍 maybe that'll work better

Meguiars ultimate compound..

Thats weird. I've never had that happen to me and I do an entire panel at a time by hand.

damn well I'm stumped then. the high was 78?! omg I wish, it's like 88 right now with a high of 92-94

Maybe there is some wrong even when I did it by hand in that little section it would still dry up and then i'd have to scrub it off..
