JustAkid 2010 Ghostly Fx4 F150 Build Thread
Figured I would make a build thread as with just like any car/truck i've owned I have many mods that will be done to the truck.
Picked up this 2010 f150 today after selling my 5.0efi swapped ranger (see pic below) this past Monday.I also have a black 2003 Mustang Cobra. Below is a picture of when I first got it home (had a bug/rock guard but took that off as soon as I rolled into the driveway).
And heres my old 5.0efi swapped ranger
I had mods waiting before I even had a truck lmao I just bought the truck Saturday morning and already put a level with tires and wheels.
https://www.f150forum.com/f38/my-try...10-fx4-347159/
-I added a 1.5'' motofab front level kit (wanted to keep a little rake)
-Newer style fx4 wheels
-35x12.5r20 Atturo Trail Blade X/T tires (great looking tire and a great price) -I also put on 1'' wheel adapters to give the truck a little stance.
The only place the tires rubbed was the front lower valance. And when I say rubbed I mean just a very tiny (paper thin size rub). No big deal I cut the lower valance to give me plenty of room. I worked the plastic and you cant even tell I cut it.
Before level and stock tires (ground to fender lip)
Front = 37.5''
Back = 40''
After level and 35'' tires (ground to fender lip)
Front = 40.5''
Back = 41.5''
So I got a true 1.5'' lift in the front and the 35's raised the truck up 1.5''
Well thats enough talk now on to pictures

They ride Great. Road noise is a little on the higher side but it doesnt bother me. Sounds cool and I rather have a good looking aggressive tire that makes a little noise rather then a boring looking tire thats not loud.
They sound like a semi on the freeway. Like the sound of a semi when you drive by it on the freeway. Thats the sound the tires make but again its not really loud from a 1-10 10 being really loud they are about a 6/7

K&n air intake installed. Didn't do it because of potential hp or mpg gain. Did it for looks and ease of cleaning the filter. Also under load when giving it throttle it sounds sooo good. Nice deep tone. If anyone is looking to buy one get it off of autozone or Advanced auto and use the 20% off they always offer.

Also Installed a light bar in the front and took off the licence plate holder
As well as some flush mount led pods in the back bumper for reverse lights. I wasnt to big on cutting up my perfectly good bumper but overall I like how it turned out. Also because my diff cover is about rotted in half I have a new one to go on. I am thinking about painting that white.

Did they not do the black heads and tails on the 2010 FX4?

Haha, I like how bigger tires are new wheels are small things. I'm gonna try that on my better half. I still need black heads; $250 when I could do something small like upgrade wheels and tires. d:
