I thought about tan bumpers too I thought I would try the black on for size first. I'm not a fan of the black bumpers, but I like them better than chrome. I still need to PTM my grille surround, maybe tomorrow. If I did what would I do to the rear bumper?

You can also black-out the running boards. I think if you do that and PTM the grill surround, it would bring it all together.

I think what's throwing it off is the mix and match of colors. If you are going to black-out the chrome bumpers and badging, you need to black-out the lower valance, too. Then the tan should probably be painted white. I think going black over the tan would be too much.

Just a thought....how about white for the front bumper and valance? That may look really clean and have a splash of tan with the bumper cover. You may be able to use the plasti-dip as a base so you don't have to scuff the chrome up.

It's actually not bad. I use Maguiar's cleaner wax on it when I wax about twice a year. Stays looking new.

That's a pretty good idea. I'm thinking I"ll do the lower valance and grille surround white and then the bumpers the tan color. A lot of the black just doesn't do it for me. There's a fine line between white and black bad *** **** and an XLT work truck. I'm not in San Diego, but I'm trying to keep it classy. We're in the middle of a blizzard right now so there isn't a whole lot I can do at the moment.
