Default Jackedup00 build thread

I've had the truck since April and have done a little to it,so I'll start with when I got it. When I picked the truck up it was pretty much a stock F150 with a lift, its a 2000 XLT,has the 5.4 and Off-road package. It has 7.5" of lift,4.5" suspension 3" body with 37x13.50 Nitto Mud Grapplers and 17" Lariat wheels. Here are a couple pictures of it right after I got it,ironically these pictures were taken to put the truck on Craigslist, the truck had a few issues I didn't know about when I got it so I was gonna get rid of it but the ad only lasted a few hours before I took it down. Couldn't let the truck go lol. Jackedup00 build thread-imgp0227.jpg

Then I did the tail lights and the truck decided it wanted different shocks,so it got Skyjacker Hydros. Jackedup00 build thread-5.jpg

Then she decided she needed a new CV axle,ok that may have partially been my fault Jackedup00 build thread-imgp0254.jpg

I'm thinking I did a few things to the truck between the tails and the next thing I have on the list, just can't remember at the moment lol. Anyways,I took that dumb bull dog off the fuel door and replaced it with a stainless billet door,a couple months later I got the bull bar but the only pics I found had them both on at the same time. And a couple shots of the bull bar,it's sitting low because of the body lift,I'll be getting custom brackets made soon. Jackedup00 build thread-img_2028.jpg

Then I have the blue LED strips under the dash and replaced all interior bulbs with blue leds, pictures do not do it justice. They light up like the Fourth Of July.
Dome light has a 16 LED bulb in it

Kenwood Head unit, has every color you can think of.

Strips, these are about to be replaced since they don't match the bulbs

And the door lights,5 led bulbs

Insurance was going to total the truck, that according to them they weren't supposed to cover due to my lift, but the guy that came out was nice and worked with me so that it wouldn't be totaled. What guy with a perfectly good can of WD-40 and a ratchet set would let his dream truck go to the junk yard over a little work?

Here is where we are now, after several junk yard runs,a bunch of internet orders and still a broke down truck lol.

New bed, matches the truck perfectly! If you're color blind...

Frame was taken down to metal and painted with Por-15. I just did what I wouldn't be able to reach when the bed is put on,everything else including the rear end,tow package etc will also be done

And my new driveshaft is also painted, got the shaft, both yokes and looks like new U-joints for $80.

On one of my junk yard runs I got this plastic cover, still not sure what it's called lol.
The previous owner broke mine in two.

And as of now I'm getting the truck put together, after it's together it's going in to get painted. The next thing I'm doing to it is putting these head lights on,probably next month:

Wow, what caused that, the shaft? Did you wheel hop it any or was the rear end submerged at some point? I mean, I don't see a breather...

Perhaps everything above ^^^ ? lol

Bummer man. Sucks!

Yea that TB cover is either from a 97 or 98.

Good call with the plasti-dip. I may have to steal that. Less masking off than with spray paint.
