I don't know why I haven't done tint yet...

And as for Audio, I really want to, just not sure what to use...

Just don't use anything that's really cheap cause it might bite you in the **** later. But there's several good brands out there like pioneer, etc. what all do you want to upgrade? Whole system, just speakers, just radio, what?

Wanna stick to factory head, new door speakers, possible new sub as long as it only takes up as much space as the old one. Maybe amp to run the sub depending on how powerful.

I know the good brands, just not sure what each option would entail.

What size is the stock sub? And what size speakers does your truck have stock? 6x8s?

It's the stock Sony Upgrade 700W system Sub, and yes, 6x8's so 5x7's should fit too.

Yeah so you don't know how many inches the diameter of the sub is? And I got 4 pioneer 6x8s for my truck, they sound really nice. They would sound even better on an amp with an aftermarket head unit, cause right now the signal quality sucks in the stock unit. But they still sound nice, better than stock. But they lack a little bit in bass. But a sub fixes that.

I'd like to skip the sub, my experience is that the bass you get from a sub is nice, but I don't like the single directionality you get from one. I'd prefer to have smooth bass spread through all the speakers.

I understand that, but with a good system, the bass radiates through the cab. Asking door speakers to provide bass, is asking them to do something they aren't designed for.

I will put my .02 in, get the amp power steps first. They are much, much more useful than the oem steps, and are so trick when they come out from under the truck!
