FX4 take 2

That makes sense, I knew you had to be doing something unique to get a following like that. I personally vote meth and Wagner intercooler because those are my next two planned mods and you can let me know how install is for both of them. ddc4dcdffb I'm personally a fan of the raptor wheels especially if you now have spacers for them. And nice I hope it all turns out good and you get the truck back asap, can't wait to see what else you have planned. Do you think you're going to go all out like that FJ you had?

I'm trying to go more of a street truck with this build and make it fast though. I want some 20x12s and 33" Toyo ATs on here to give it that street look and the slightly smaller tire size will help. If I do wheels first I'll be able to do the Wagner IC and meth injection when I well the raptor wheel setup anyway. I'm planning to build this truck pretty good but I'm not ready to go 6" lift yet and go crazy show truck. I want to play in the race truck game a little at the current height then maybe jack it up later
Tire size is less important than overall wheel and tire weight for these trucks. A 20x12 rim is going to be quite heavy, so you might get better results with an 18 inch method racing wheel. The toyo ats should be pretty light though. I specifically chose my AT2s because they were lighter than basically any other 35.
I flip flop back and forth between wanting a race truck with great suspension and a lifted truck with sick wheels and tires, but so far I'm content with the path I've taken. I'm currently dumping everything I have into performance mods to try and make it the best of both worlds. If I didn't live in CT I would definitely be building mine the way you are.

I went through the same dilemma when building mine. However, I was leaning towards lift and big wheels right away. Tire size is less important than overall wheel and tire weight for these trucks. I'm also a huge fan of offset and dishes deeper than a Chicago style pizza, and I would've gone with two piece Fuel Mavericks in 20x12 -44 if it weren't for the fact that everyone and their mother has them.
Back on track though those are sick, and will look awesome with that Ruby Red. You have a timeframe for all of this or are you just hedging things out?

Damn. I'm not usually a huge fan of directional wheels but those are actually killer. Yeah I was looking at Mavericks very heavily but when these came out I really liked them and too many people have Mavericks these days. These are 20x12 -44 offset also which is what I want. These are also a super glossy finish compared to the more flat fuel finish which I think will look killer on this truck. I can either do the intercooler, meth injection, Tstat, and fresh MPT tunes next week when I have the truck back or wait a few weeks then do wheels and tires then do the performance upgrades I have planned when I sell the raptor wheels and tires

Very true, and that is a very unique wheel, I haven't seen something like it yet. Usually the directional wheels end up chrome, but I like those a lot. Since you just got a new motor I vote hold off on the mods just yet and break it in right, just to make sure this one is a keeper. Then do everything I want to do but don't have the time or money for.
