Default F-ReV's Beast Build

Haven't had a build thread for my 2000 F-150 so decided I would finally make one. I've been thinking about getting rid of the truck lately for something that gets better MPG, but I have so much into it already and love it to much to part with it. Here's some pictures of the truck the first day I got it. It definitely looked like a grandpas truck when I first got it haha.

First thing I did to the truck was remove the running boards, I also removed the bug guard, painted the grille black, and cranked the torsion bars.

The truck needed some maintenance done to it so I installed Monroe Gas Magnum Shocks, new rear diff cover, tie rod ends, and ball joints.

Also the Cooper tires were getting pretty bald so I purchased a set of BFG All Terrains with Mickey Thompson Classic II's.

I couldn't stand the look of the stock headlights anymore so I purchased a set of Black Lightning Headlights. Also I've always liked the look of Billet Grilles so I purchased one of those as well.

Then I also did some small stuff like painting the throttle body cover, installed a JVC head unit, and did the gotts mod.

After driving around with a constant "tick" "tick" "tick" noise from my exhaust manifolds I bought a set of Pacesetter Headers from Summit. I snapped two studs inside the head during the job, but I drilled and tapped both successfully and finished the job. Also not long after I installed a Cobra CB Radio with two 3' whips.

Man your truck is so clean, always is. How much you get the headers for. Make it sound a lot louder or just a little?? Just wondering cause I am getting really annoyed with the damn tick noise as well.

Headers were like $200 and then I probably spent an extra $100 on gaskets and nickel plated bolts for the headers. Don't use the ones they give you with the headers buy a set of locking header bolts. It really didn't make the truck that much louder I mean definitely a difference, but not substantial.

Yeah mine ticked constantly I had a big crack on my drivers side manifold. If yours only ticks when it's cold that's probably because when it hears up the metals expanding and filling in whatever small crack which the exhaust is leaking through. If I were you I'd do it before it gets any worse
