Well I've already learned enough tonight.. enough to ruin my night actually haha. I can't complain to much though as it's my fault for not checking the vin numbers . The title the guy gave me is for the extra frame so basically I have to take the whole cab off that frame and put it on the other, and also the engine. So the amount of work I have to do to this truck just multiplied by 10. Oh well looks like I'm in for many years of restoration now

Just swap the vin plates lol but that actually does you a favor, you have a bare chassis to paint and clean up, you can put your 302 in it, then swap the cab over to a brand new rolling stock, and sell the other frame and motor. It's all about how you look at it I guess.

In all honesty it's not that bad, and you are right it's nice to be able to start just from a frame and build up so I can get it all pretty and nice haha. Frame is solid may need to fix the cab mounts, but otherwise it's very solid. The way I look at it now is the truck sure as hell isn't original so I'm going to make it exactly like I want it!

Oh for sure man, it just has more of a sophisticated look to it. Plus there's a ton of round aftermarket lights available for them.

Yeah I saw the ones you photoshopped onto your truck in your build thread they look pretty sweet. Unfortunately I have a long ways before I even have to worry about headlights haha first job is to wire wheel that frame down and POR-15 the whole thing

If there's a bunch of caked on grease, brakeclean the snot of of it and pressure wash it first, because it will gum up a wire wheel like nobody's business.
