98_F150's Build
I bought my F150 a year and a half ago when the company I worked for went bankrupt. I got a good deal $300!
The day I got her. Nothin special 98 XL 4.2L
After that I cleaned her up a bit sprayed the stock rims black, re-sprayed the grille and did the dashboard. (was a little too much grey for me)
Then:
brushguard
fog lights
leveled
chrome side mirrors
new chrome center caps
Flowmaster 40 series
cold air intake
JBA 9mm plug wires and E3 plugs
EBC Greenstuff pads, new rotors and wheel studs
Kenwood headunit, polk audio 6''x9'' speakers
LED super white license plate bulbs, and interior bulbs

Then a few weeks later I spun a rod bearing The motor had 245k on it so I was expecting to come eventually.
So this is how it sits now with the motor apart and stripped. Future plans are to rebuild the motor, get rid of the stickers and try and go with a clean look and keep it simple.
As for the engine build I'm going pretty much stock re-build to get it back on the road seeing as how this is my daily driver.
Engine Build:
Lightweight Flywheel
Heavy duty clutch
Re-grind crank
Rods pressed and honed
Supersix motorsports Cam
Intake and heads ported and polished
Throttle body spacer
SCT tuner (havent picked a model yet)
Underdrive pulleys
Electric fans
Any ideas on engine build or mods that anyone recommends let me know! I'll be glad to hear your advice if im missing anything or if theres better out there!
Hope to get started building the motor in the weeks to come when I get the extra money.

Thanks man, and I used mounts off.a jeep tj and cut the 90 off of them and drilled two holes in the door frame. Pretty-no but it did work well. And not bailing on the build but im actually getting ready to sell the truck cause after thinking about it I really want a crew cab and cant see myself dumping $4-6k in a standard cab. Id love to do this build cause I havent seen a lot of 4.2's done unless swapped in a v6 mustang but I need somethin to drive asap!
