Looks good! I would ptm the black plastic valance thing underneath the bumper and then put some ballistic jesters on it and you would have one bad a** ride!

Update!!
I went in and replaced my original tow mirrors with a new set of power fold from 1A Auto. I have to say after getting all of the wiring done they are a great upgrade!! It always sucked having to get out to fold them to park in a garage or in a tight parking spot. now just a push of the button and they fold in! They came with smoked turn signals/marker lights, not really my style, so I swapped them for OEM amber ones. The swap was straight across with no modification.

As a side note, anyone swap a 05 front bumper onto a 06? I really want the square fog lights and there is a guy in my area selling one cheap. I know brackets have to be swapped, but most threads on it are a 06-08 bumper onto a 04-05. Curious if anyone has ever gone the other route?

Great story with the truck, glad to see you kept the truck after all of that. Good job.

I finally did something I always wanted on the truck. Ever since I drove a loaner Super-Crew FX4 with the flow through console and floor shifter I always wanted that option in my truck. Ford never offered it as a feature in a Regular Cab so I did some digging and found a guy who did it to his Regular Cab. The main thing concerning me was if the shift cable would attach to my transmission since all FX4's are the V-8 option and I just have the 4.2 V-6. So I decided just to go for it after I found a truck where I could pull all the parts I needed including the dash.

First thing I did after I got the parts home was test fit the Console in the cab. It fit in perfect using the seat mounting holes to hole it in the rear, but there was no holes for the front. So I had to decide how to make my own mount.

I didn't get many pictures of the install because I was racing the rain, but after it was all said and done I got the dash and shifter installed. I love the floor shifter over the column. All I have left to do is remove the column shifter. I figure ill leave it in for a while just to make sure everything works.
