I'm sorry to hear about your dad.

Sweet build! I LOVE how your truck looked after the level, tires, and black taillights. I love mild builds myself, but am really excited to see that lift with 37's!

thank you for the kind words guys.

we lost him at about 4:30 this morning. I took off on the 16 hour drive as soon as I heard he was slipping but didn't make it to his house until 9. I've been awake for over 40 hours now and it doesn't feel real. I'm not sure when I'll be able to make it home or back to my truck, obviously.

Oh man, I'm so sorry. Same thing happened to my mom with my grandfather. She was out to dinner and my grandfather started having complications (stage 4 lung cancer) and we called her some 10+ times. We finally got ahold of her, but she wasn't able to get to the house in time. It's a terrible feeling losing a loved one. At least your dad isn't hurting anymore, he's in a better place now.

well it was a pretty unfortunate detour that my life took last week but I got home about an hour ago and luckily I have incredibly kind and supportive friends and family that were there to help us all through everything. I truly appreciate all of the kind words from everyone on here.

anyway, the truck supposedly had one last tweak that was supposed to be done on Monday. I didn't hear from them Monday and didn't have a chance to call until yesterday, initially I was a little upset that there was yet another delay but it turns out, they had heard through a friend of mine what had happened and knew they would have the truck for a few extra days, so they went above and beyond and re-did the trimming I had originally done for my 35s, and then went so far as to paint the edges of everything that had been cut and sent my truck out for a full detail. they also say that the slight rub I had in reverse at full lock is no more. I'm really touched that they went out of their way to do more than they had to after hearing what I'd been through. they're not usually open on Saturday so the manager is going to meet me tomorrow so I can finally get my truck back after three long months.

also, I've put 2,953 miles on the loaner since Saturday afternoon. yikes.

That's how customer service is done! It's nice to hear they wanted to take care of you, especially given the circumstances. I'm sure what they did didn't cost them much, but it's the thought that counts.

I'm glad to hear you're doing well. I can't wait to see the truck!

well I met up with him today and unfortunately a few things were overlooked. I ended up with a stock grille, and there are some significant cracks in the topper fiberglass where it shifted forward and hit the bed corners. I took the truck with me for the time being but they're going to get the grille ordered and painted, and then figure out what can be done about the topper.

Shoulda left the topper there with them! Glad you got it back though. The grille was probably a goof up.
