Nice work, I haven't seen that kind of welding for a long, long time. You either have access to a robot welder or you had one heck of an instructor from the old very old school. Those are very nice welds and that's coming from a welding engineer, nice work ladd, very nice work.
All kidding aside, you have just set the bar very high for what most of the young fellows and galls on this site and many others, want in a truck now. And you've just made all the Dodge and GM trucker owns very jellous.
I like what you've done with it, it's very well thought out and maticulously done it the way an engineer would have designed it.
It refreashing to see this type of work from a young person, in this day and age.

I have never gone to school for welding or anything like that, but have been lucky enough to run into a man who had the patience to teach me the basics. Rick Ivens has been almost like a "mentor" to me as far as educating me in the welding preparation/technique/process/execution. He learned how to TIG from a few of the guys working at the San Onofre power plant down here in San Clemente. Its hard to find someone who is older and willing to be patient enough to pass down his knowledge to someone like me.
As far as metal fabrication, tube work, plate work, design etc. I taught myself everything. No one has ever shown me how to do anything and I just picked it up on my own.
I do metal fabrication and welding full-time right now, but it's not permanent. We do structural, architectural, and misc steel, aluminum, and stainless. It is not what I am into and unfortunately I cannot hold down a job doing something I am not passionate about. I love to create, design, and build. There is bigger plans in the works, so for now my day job will have to do... (if someone has a opportunity for me shoot me a PM)
