The wife ordered my Christmas present last night! She's getting me a black Deezee brush guard! Unfortunately she's getting it shipped to my parents house where we'll be for Christmas so I don't get it for an entire month. Oh well, I really can't complain though! Really looking forward to getting this bad boy put on.

Truck looks good man! Any plans for suspension mods? As far as the exhaust I'm looking at a Magnaflow 12298. It's 3" in, and dual 3" out, then it would be ran straight out the back. That's on a 2016 F-150, the video below is another member's truck that is almost identical to mine with a 5.0.

Thank you! I've always wanted to put a 6" lift on one of my trucks, but I'm pretty short (5'6") so it's already hard enough as is to get into the bed. I think the most I'll be able to get away with is a mild 2-2.5" level on the front. And that truck sounds pretty dang good, I might have to look at some Magnaflows now. I definitely think I'm going to go for a SI/DO over true duals to cut down costs and to be able to keep my resonator. So many choices lol.

Lol. I'm only 5'8" so I can sympathize. My new truck happened to come with the tailgate step. My last truck had a 2.5" Rancho Quicklift level with RS-9000XL's in the rear. I loved that suspension setup, way better than stock. When I traded it in I had 35x12.5 Nitto Trail Grapplers on 20x9 Fuel Dunes with 1.5" wheel spacers. It was decently tall, but was still fairly easy to get in the bed.

My old one had true dual 2.5" pipe, to 12" cherrybomb glasspacks, then 2.25" straight out the back to 4" tips. It sounded so good with that 5.4, and was so loud compared to this one. Lol. I need some rumble back in my life.

That sounds almost exactly like the setup I want on my truck. Got any pics of what it looked like? As far as the exhaust goes, I want it pretty loud with some rumble but minimal drone. The true duals I had put on my previous 2004 droned like crazy, it was so bad lol.

Here's the build thread for that one.

My exhaust. I had left the stock cats on, no drone that I noticed. Even with 35" mud tires and 3.73 gears going 85 down the highway. Haha

Couple pictures from the day I traded her in.

That's a good looking truck man! I'm really digging the aggressive look that the level and tires give it. I think I know what I'll be saving my pennies for next lol. I bet the drone on my 2004 was caused by the replacement cats I had put on. I think stock it had 4 but I replaced them with only two. It sounded amazing from outside the truck but the drone was awful. I think I want to get the exhaust done when I'm at my parents for Christmas so I better figure out what I want before then!

Thank you! I've always loved the KR leather too, it just looks classy imo. And I'm really beginning to love the blue/tan combo. I test drove a red/chrome truck that I absolutely loved, but I think I like this one better now that I've driven it for a while. I get quite a few compliments on it too

Thanks! It was fun to drive around, but it had horrible mileage. Lol. Got around 12mpg on the highway, and around 10mpg in the city. But I didn't expect better since it was performance tuned and on 35's. I drove that thing so hard and it never left me stranded, even when the transmission grenaded on the highway and lost 3rd and 4th gear. Dropped it in first gear and took side streets to get to work, then drove it to the transmission shop in first gear. Lol

Could be the cats, but removing two wouldn't have caused it. The 07's at least (I think they did this in 2006) only had two cats instead of the 4 that were on the '04's. Hearing mine go through a parking garage was always fun, and I definitely miss that sound. I think the beginning part of January is when I'll get my exhaust done. Planning for a Magnaflow 12298, then 3" pipe out the back to 4" tips. Should sound pretty mean.
