Got the swing case installed today. Very impressed with the quality and storage for what it is. Will probably get a matching one for the passenger side.

Man, I'll tell you what. I've had some major truck drama this month. I drove from OKC to Tacoma, WA for this month's rotation and somewhere near Utah I started to hear a clicking that corresponded with my RPMs. Brought it into the local Ford dealership over here on 6/11. They said it was between new engine or a bunch of new parts. Got a call the next day saying my warranty people wanted to repair it and it'd be no charge but would take a few days. They were slammed that week so I made an appt for the next, 12 days in advance mind you. So I brought it back in on 6/23 for the repairs. No real progress was made during the several days I called for updates and then today I got a voicemail saying the technician is now recommending a brand new engine. Meanwhile, I have to be in Louisiana to start my next rotation on Monday. After a big hoopla and me getting pretty pissed off after being patient, they're just putting it back as it was and said it's ok to drive. They wanted to replace timing chain, solenoids, and more. I didn't have much time to talk about it with him so I'll find out more when I pick it up tomorrow. I'll hold on bashing them just yet until I see what's what tomorrow. Definitely not how we'd have handled in back home....

Just an update more for myself. Currently, my truck is back home in Louisiana. I'll be back there next week and the build will continue. The engine issue in Washington resulted in absolutely nothing. They wanted to fix it, then decided on replacing it, my warranty covered everything but they drug their feet and after 2 full weeks said it wouldn't be ready in time for me to drive it to Louisiana. So they just put it all back together and let me go on my way. With what my warranty covers, I may just pay extra and get a better engine but that's a battle for the future as it's doing just fine now and not giving any noticeable issues as it was on the way to Washington. The Bilsteins are still going on as soon as the local shop at home gets them back in stock. I could order them online but since my wife is driving it at the moment at home I don't mind waiting. Also, I would much rather give the local small shop at home the business. After that I'm debating on either an exhaust or throttle body upgrade. I'll get both but not sure which will be first. I'm really in love with the sound of the Roush exhaust but have only heard it in videos, not in person so we'll see about that. I've fallen more in love with function and power over looks and I was never planning on putting a major lift and huge tires, etc. I went through that with my Jeep in high school and undergrad and it kind of burnt me out a little bit. I really got tired of all of the repairs it brought about. Thanks for following my thread and stay tuned. More to follow in the next few months.
