It was under a foot or two of water from all the rain lately so we just took my friends ATV back there to get a good look.

Other than that, we just tested the winch at home. It pulls the truck without a problem.
One of my main muddin roads was under water from opening the dam at the river,I got up to probably 3 feet of water before I backed it up. Didn't want it coming in my doors lol. After the water went back down the mud was awesome,I was locking up a lot more than usual.

Yeah I was thinking about a lock rite. I'm trying to save some money, but a locker is pretty invaluable. And thanks!

Ya no problem I know they're kinda pricey and with that winch I don't think you'll have problems getting unstuck but the locker might prevent the getting stuck part lol

Yeah man that sounds awesome!
I probably could've made it through this because it was hard mud with 2-3 feet of water on top. I just didn't want to take any chances with the water, mainly because I didn't know how deep it would get. Couldn't have gone far though because the trail got a little narrow, which is why we want to go clear out a new trail for full sizes

Down at the end of that road my sisters boyfriend said he had water up to his dash in his chevy on 40s lol. Glad I didn't push my luck!

I'd really like to have one, it's just that I've been debating getting a small spindle lift and locker, or saving the money for the eventual solid axle, which would solve the 2wd problem. The lift and locker might cost around $750 if I went with the Rough Country spindle lift. That's $750 I could put towards that Dana 44 in the future. It's a hard decision, economically. If I can find a cheap locker, I'll jump on it though.

If it were me I'd do the spindle and locker then later on maybe find a cheap 10th gen to do the sas to and make that a dedicated trail rig that way if you break something on this truck you aren't left without a vehicle ya it'll cost more and take longer but in the long run it might be the best bet

Either that or do the locker and spindle for now the save up and get all the parts for the sas so it's more functional now and you won't be rushing into the swap paying more for things and maybe forget some things but it's really up to you lol
