Default Fishermans 4X4 Build

This is build thread for my new 2013 Ecoboost F150 XL 4X4. Besides needing to haul regular stuff, I need my pickup for getting my canoe/fishing gear to and from the lake. I also occasionally do some remote truck camping and need it to be a capable off road rig.

Here is my old F150 I replaced

here is a picture brand new

For a while I had to strap the canoe down to the truck bed. It worked out okay except that the canoe stuck out 7 feet behind the truck.
My first upgrade was the ADARAC truck bed rack system. They retail for just under $400 but I was able to get one on ebay for $340. The rack is made completely of steel and I read a review somewhere that it might rust so I went ahead and painted the rack to match my truck.

Not too tall for this parking garage! (but pretty close)

I tested the rack out yesterday and drove a couple hours to the lake. Rack is solid! Had a decent fishing day also. Lots of plans for this truck.

Probably going to run the stock tires until I wear them down. They aren't the best A/T but they aren't terrible either. I'm trying to decide what to do with the hood next. I bought the truck with hail damage and it has a pretty big ding in the hood.

Went to the lake today and took a few pictures
New Decal

This isn't much of a modification but I found that these bungee nets work really well with the tie downs on the ADARAC system. I got this net on amazon for ten bucks. Keeps gear from flying out at 75MPH.

Just installed a Hunter bull bar. I was looking into light bars for a while until I came across this on ebay. I really like it because it allows plenty of airflow for the ecoboost intercooler and it lets me keep the tow hooks.
