Progress. The bracket so far has been the biggest challenge of this little project. Once it was complete I could lay on some cardboard to get a visual of the shape, and it's pretty much where I wanted it. Now to repeat the process mirrored to the other side lol

Whenever I build bumpers the mount is the last thing to be figured out lol!! Can't wait to see it finished or even just a complete cardboard bumper.

Well I wanted the mounts to be fully integrated to the bumper like this to add strength to it, it also helped me get the shape the way I wanted it. From this point out though the center will be built on a table to make sure everything is square. Here's what the bracket looks like without steel over it. The other pic shows how much I ended up narrowing the bumper from my original design. That was my template for the outer bracket, I like it better now without so much underbite

So I haven't totally abandoned this thing guys, I swear!! If you haven't seen in another thread, I'll go ahead and fill you in. I bought a 2010 F-350 for my welding truck about a month ago which has tied up a very portion of my funds. This was something I had to do though to really open up my career opportunities and start making quite a bit more money. However, I did bump into a steal of a deal on a rust free tailgate a couple weeks ago, and as soon as time allows I'll be installing it and finishing my bumpers, then getting exhaust done so I can drive it.
