Idk how to quote multiples on this dumb mobile site so here we go
Thanks NFL
I agree the yellow and black looks awesome, everybody has loved it so far, I'm super glad I went that route.
Yes those are headers installed and everything, I finally got them at the end of April. They seem to be very well built, the flange on them is hella thick so it definitely shouldn't warp.
I have not started it yet, I hope to get it all assembled this weekend and start it the next if things go well.
Getting to this point has been a massive struggle. The taller valve covers wouldn't allow the engine to drop back in as easily as before so I had to jack the cab up 3" to clear them. This involved cutting out the front 2 bolts which meant I had to order new bushings and bolts, no big deal, just $75 more dollars. Also noticed the flywheel had about a 1" section of teeth gone, new flywheel= $70. Once the pig was sitting in there bolted in, with a 3" body lift the heater box was still touching the valve cover, so that is now gone, I'll have to bolt a patch panel over the hole and seal it, then order a small aftermarket heater before winter which will run me another $250-300, but it's non essential right now. Hopefully it will be running soon, I'm beyond ready to drive it again.
Thanks NFL
