yeah I'd do that over the glass. Glass is mostly for structural fixes

I haven't made anything yet so depending on my needs I'll go with the right choice. But thanks Clifford!

After about 5 and 1/2 hours of torching, beating, building tools, having cussing fits, and vividly remembering why I'd put the project off, the block is stripped, all but the cam and lifters because I'm not sure how yet lol the cylinders look to be in decent shape really, much better than I expected. Going to hit up the machine shop in a few weeks here and get it all worked over. Browning's Highboy beast build-image-3780759893.jpg

Probably. I mainly wanted the crank out. But just decided to see if I could get the Pistons out and see how bad the cylinders were. Since they weren't bad on the first couple I got out I committed to it and welded me up a piece of pipe with a flat cap on top and a notch in the bottom to sit in around the connecting rod. It took a while but I finally got them loose. The worst one was the last one and I pretty much had to break apart the entire piston. I'd beat on the end of the pipe so hard, so long it had caved the cap in and started rolling it down into the pipe lol and this stuff was 1/8" thick. I was impressed my welds held up to that

it's not saved yet lol it could still be turned into a coffee table. I'm having my uncle come look at it and tell me if he thinks it's worth it to have it gone through. If it is I'm probably having it bored .30 over.
