Boomers build...
Well I feel like I have enough pictures and mods to put on of these together so here goes. If any of you have seen some of my early posts you know I started with a 04 XLT 2WD.
I put a lot of work into it before I was forced to get rid of it...
So after a short search I came across my new (to me) truck a 08 4x4 Lariat
The first thing I did was remove the grille and chrome side steps and sold them to the firefighter I work with that bought my silver truck. He gave me back the black steps so I bolted them back on and the dechroming process had begun.
My next project on the list was to swap in the new Saleen grille I had bought and do something with the chrome surround.
I wasnt real sure how the two tone was going to work but I knew that this grille did not belong in chrome. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it and extremely happy I went that route. Next up I went for the last bit of chrome left on the truck and tackled the badging. I went with the two piece '12 badges and two tone blacked them in matte and PTM gloss.
Another one down and so much left to do...

I removed the 4x4 bed side decals and replaced those with Matte black ones from the '12. I also tinted my taillights and 3rd brake light around this time as well.
Sometime between all of this I had a Flowmaster 40 series si/do installed and had my pipes tucked close to the frame and stopped behind the bumper to give it a hidden look.
At this point the last cheap mod was to pull my headlights open them up and paint them. I used a PTM black paint to give it that gloss look. I also went with a black light deflector to give it a true Harley look.
I rode around like this for quite sometime waiting for wheels and tires and to install my level...
So on the friday before Christmas I installed my level that I picked up here in the sales section from KingRanch4Life. It is an autospring 2.5 front spacer with a 3 inch rear block..
I only had to wait just a few days after the level to make use of that extra space when I came home on Christmas morning to these...

Still have a few things here and there I would like to do. I want to get a full suspension lift and put 35s on it. Ive also go t a factory Nav unit in my office at home that is waiting to be sent off to be programmed so that I can retain the factory DVD for my 4 year old. He would be extremely upset if he was unable to watch Lightning McQueen and Mater. A windshield tint and a redo of the front 2 windows to match the rear 2 is in order before summer gets here. 100+ degree temps with black leather isnt going to be fun without it. also thinking of getting those slim looking vent shades to help keep the interior cool as well.

Thanks I spent a lomg time looking for what I wanted but kept coming back to these. A lot of people say they are played out on here but i have yet to see any F150s in my area with them. And I have only seen about 3 sets altogether a jeep, dodge, and 250.
