New to the site. Figured I post up what I'm starting with...
1994 f150 xlt regular cab full bed. 302 auto, 4x4, 3.31 gears. Nice interior, working electronics, mechanically sound, body iffy. 112k miles. Only 1000 bucks, inspected in December too.
Picked up some grabber AT2s with 200 miles on them mounted on chevy wheels for 375 bucks. 31X10.50's. They go on this week...
I need to fix the door pins so it stops raining inside, put a new tranny gasket in, tap a new hole for a stripped tranny pan bolt and see why the transfer box is grinding when shifting in (haven't checked fluid but it is probably WAY low like the motor and tranny were...)

Just ordered new front and rear tanks. Both leak. Has the new 31"s on. Grabber AT2s with 200 miles on em. Ended up only being $360 after mount/balance. Steal.
Put in new door pins. That fixed the saggy door. Needs a little adjustment as its sitting a little off but i doesn't rain inside now, which is good.
Pulled off the ratty tonneau cover today too.
As she sits with the new rubber: (need to ditch the steps)
My other ride, 97 explorer:

Still battling a transmission leak. I think the pan may be warped so i'll have to pull it again to check.
Plans for the spring/summer:
-fix tranny leak
-Pull bed and front clip for body work reasons
-sand and paint frame
-pull seat and carpet out for a good cleaning
-new bedsides, fenders and cab corners
-prep and repaint full truck (staying with stock color for ease)
-new shocks (probably procomp es1000)
-while bed is off replace the gas tanks (both leak and i already have 2 new ones)
-rig up the remote start fob to operate the power locks
-change diff and transfer case fluids
-spray in bedliner
-fuel filter
-plugs (maybe wires but they are already aftermarkets, just not sure how old)
-buy toolbox
-fix cruise control
if money allows:
-moog springs and aal for a 2" lift and do the alignment
-new bumpers, grille, and bezels

Update time:
I straightened the rear bumper up with a tow rope and a tree. I put 2 new wheel cylinders, a new brake line, and new shoes on the back, also put all new emergency brake cables on. Works perfect. I also picked up some better looking trim pieces for the interior from the junkyard. I started to pull the exterior trim and stuff off to prepare for the body work.
I should be ordering the parts soon. Fenders are about 100 a piece, priced cab corners for 16 a piece and the large bedside patch panels for 65. I can get the color coded paint and clear for 375 from a local shop.
Truck runs awesome besides being a complete dog. It can hardly stay in OD at 65 on the highway, its always downshifting. 0-60 has to be 12-15 seconds at best it seems. Wish the damn thing had a tach so I could see the RPMs (couldn't find a 94-95 tach cluster at the junkyard).
I snagged a Kobalt tool box for 50 bucks for in the bed. Also put in a kenwood stereo system and front speakers. The rear ones are the old stock "premium" speakers from my explorer. My go this week and pick up 2 10"s in a slim box with a amp.
Tranny still leaks a bit even with a new oem ford gasket. I tried to flatten the pan lip down some but I think it just needs a new pan to stop leaking

I've moved to Charlotte NC so my truck has been tarped over back in pa. She only needs a day of final sanding on the one bedside and one cab corner. Then she is ready for paint. This summer I'll get her all finished.
The list of new parts I've put in to it:
2 gas tanks
Gas lines
Brake lines, pads cylinders
Fenders
Bedsides
Cab corners
Tires
Tranny gasket
Fluid changes
Trim pieces
Soon to be paint
Parts needed yet are steering box and front end rebuild.

Well she is on the road again! I will eventually put up the progress photos but she has been "rebuilt"
New parts include:
Bedsides
Fenders
Cab corners
New gas tanks
New trim that runs down the side
Fender flares
Larger radiator
Redhead steering box
Ford racing wires
Motorcraft plugs (need installed yet)
New tranny fluid, 1 new line, new filter and gasket
New rear shoes and wheel cylinders
Some new brake lines
A new fuel line
POR-15 on the frame
New rear shocks
Lower window seals
New stereo
2K primer and single stage urethane paint
Not to mention all kinds of other little do-dads here and there...
I'm spreadsheet tells me I am at 3750, price of the truck and tires included.
Just took it for a 6hr round trip drive, trial by fire the day after I got it back running after 15 months of sitting... Made it great, 12mpgs baby!
Items yet to be addressed...
Bed liner
Bed line below the lowest body line
Mud flaps
Window vent visors
Figure out the reason my visor stopped lighting up
Reattach rear view that I just snapped off
Address the blinking o/d light (maybe shift solenoid?) Won't pull a code...

Tranny leak seems to have stopped itself... Knock on wood. I have a good coolant leak. Hard to tell if its lower rad hose or pump gasket. Its all wet. I did the hose and hopefully I'm good. Tine will tell.
Any thoughts on my cruise. Fuses are good including the recall harness. Speedo and horn work and no airbag lights so not sure if the clock spring could be faulty or not. Maybe the steering wheel buttons? How do they come off?
