Ok, so a lot has changed since I've been here last.

Bought all the parts I need for the fixing...

Doorman intake manifold.
Doorman door lock actuators.
Valve cover gasket.
New vacuum hoses.
1 new OEM COP.
Heavy duty COP boots and springs for every COP.
Fuel injector seals.
Water pump.
Etc.

They are either on their way, arriving within the week, or I have them in the garage waiting.

Hopefully next Saturday I'll have it all in and can start the overhaul.

Time for new tire's crept up today.

Got a whole set of KO2's from Sam's Club for a steal of a deal with two rebates and club pricing and road hazard protection. Looks like a whole new truck and all I did was change the tire's!

Also got a Craftsman Creeper, 3-ton floor jack, and 3-ton jack stands, 25% off at Ace Hardware.

Next weekend is truck lovin' day.

Then I'll do some plastidip, and the interior, deciding to keep the rear seat and do a custom storage bin under it. Gunna ditch the carpet and bedline the tub.

If the new water pump doesn't help the heat (it's the only thing I haven't replaced except the heater core), then I'll bypass the heater core and live without it. I live in Phoenix. Not worth $900 to get it replaced, IMO.

Pics to come shortly.

Everything should be in by Friday. So hopefully this weekend will be productive and I'll be able to get it all done.

Shocks look to be more difficult than I thought. And may have to wait for a another weekend to do those as I'll have to use a torch... It has 184000 miles and the original shocks. They don't want to say goodbye to the truck easily...

The Bosch OBD2 Mobile Scan Bluetooth scanner and app are nice. Found out that if I buy it, I can download the app and get the Code Connect download for free. And my brother can download the app on his phone and get it free for his vehicle even though he is connecting to the same scanner. It was on sale for $79 as opposed to $99 normally so I picked it up. Found that there was a misfire on cylinder 1, not triggering a light but it's the same coil pack from the cylinder two episode awhile back. New COP is installed and code is gone. Will now be able to monitor it with the scanner to make sure it's truly gone and stays gone!

All done, shocks and door locks next weekend.

I'll take pictures after the oil change in the morning.

I'm exhausted.

Door locks are done!

I noticed after the intake manifold swap that the AC would switch to defrost when I accelerate or put strain on the engine like going up a hill. Found one of the vacuum lines leading to the vacuum reservoir was broken, severed, completely separated. So I used some rubber connectors to patch it.

Seems to be doing fine now...
