Well I haven't really been super good at keeping up with the build thread. I also haven't been buying a bunch of stuff for the truck lately either. But, I'm going to be ordering some goodys soon. Anyways short update: my stock radio bezels clips that hold it in place, have all broken off, yes all of them. So ended up having to order a tan one off of ebay and it had all the clips! Bought some 1999 lightning dark graphite SEM paint from late model restoration and went at it. It turned out great and best of all, there is no more rattling.

Couple pictures, before and after:

Also a little list of things I'll be doing soon:

1. Getting the front windows tinted to match the factory rear tint.

2. Getting a new exhaust put on, Si/So flow master super 40 out to a 4 or 5'' tip.

3. A few extra cool little things, I'll just have to post up when they're done.

How is the clearance on those tires? How much did you crank?

When you say clearance, do you mean, do they rub? After I trimmed the valance, no. There was no rub at any point. As for the tbars they are cranked about an inch to an inch in a half. My crank measurement is 23.5 inches from the center of the hub to the bottom of the wheel well.

Thanks. I am curious as I plan to run 295/70R17 on mine here soon and your are running similar.

Yeah I think you'll be fine, my wheels are 17x9 -12 off set, so they might help some. I looked one day for the closest possible point for rubbing and the tire was no where close at full lock.

Yeah I figured I would be all right as I am running 305/70R16's on my truck now and have plenty of clearance at both full wheel left and right lock without a crank. So I don't see why I wouldn't be able to run roughly 1/2"-3/4" taller and about the same width setup with only a slight crank. I haven't decided on whether I want to run 295/70R17 Toyo MT's or 285/70R17 Goodyear Duratracs. I am leaning towards the Duratracs though. I am really liking your stance.

Sorry for the super late reply, I think if it were me I would go with the duratracs. They've just really grown on me, but at the same time, toyos are some great looking mud tires. So I see your predicament. haha I think with either tire you'll be able to achieve a similar stance though.

I Just checked this thread out from your link, & all I can say is WOW! Outstanding work, and the truck looks awesome. Your attention to detail certainly paid off man.
Thats exactly what I want to do with mine in regards to the trim, and all the worn/faded surface areas in and out.
And the overall look with those tires is sweet. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! Painting the trim is such a simple little fix, that makes a huge difference. I definitely recommend doing it, its cheap and really freshens things up. Thanks again for the compliment, I still can't wait to see what you do with yours. I still love that color. haha
