I had another question for you but, I forgot it. lol That was another one of my major questions though, about how long to cook the corners. Thank you for all your help on this though dude. You don't know how much you've helped me.

Edit: I remembered 3 more for you.

Just curious, what "K" bulbs did you opt to go with? I'm wanting them to look white. Which from what I've read around on the internet and according to trs reference picture, would be the 5500k. That's what I was planning on going with, just curious if that's what you have and if you like them?

Where did you get your switchbacks from? Not the halo, the bulbs?

And last but, not least, the 3rd question...

Just curious what did you use to reseal the lights with? I was looking at this retro rubber from the retrofit source, which it sounds awesome, but it says to put the light in the oven for 265 degrees at 7 minutes! Then to compress it all back together. It makes since, but I'm curious if you used it, did you heat it up that high? I'm obviously a rookie at this, but I would just be scared of hurting the projector or halos....

Thanks again dude.

I baked the corners for like 15 min I think at 215 degrees. To reseal the heads I just used some of that butyl sealant and put them in the oven for 10 min at 200 degrees and or the clips back on. I tried to do that same thing with the corners but they didn't stay together so I put a really small bread of epoxy in There with the butyl and it worked pretty good. In sure the retro runner is a better quality to use. I think retro rubber is actually butyl but I'm not 100% sure.

The bulbs I got are 5500k and they almost look white when only they're on but with all the leds up there that are 6000k to 6500k they look yellowish so I'm probably going to order the 6500k bulbs eventually.

And I also got the switchback bulbs from TRS. I think they were like $25 from them.

No problem on the questions. Just let me know if you have anymore

I have more. You've done a great job of answering all my questions though, you've really helped me a ton. I think I'm getting a pretty firm understanding of what I want to do and how to do it. I'm sure I'll have more when I go to actually do it and the lights apart. My plan is to wait till the black friday sale hits trs, hopefully they have one, because my cart rang up really high... High enough to make my wallet run in a corner and start whimpering. haha

The retro rubber might be butyl, I never thought about it. Guess I'll find out. lol

Are these the switchbacks you ended up with? They're the only ones I can find with the model number light for our trucks. If they are the ones, did you end up getting the resistor? Just curious because its saying "most likely to cause hyper flash without resistors".

Edit: adding in another question yet again....

Did you remove the orange reflector from the corner housings, or just paint over them? Its really hard to tell in the picture. Thats one thing I plan to do for sure, been wanting to get rid of that ugly thing for a while...

Haha. It can get expensive. I couldn't find those when I ordered mine but they had some discontinued closeout 3157 bulbs that I bought. I have different resistors from my old switchbacks I used to have. I would recomend getting that flasher led flasher relay instead though.

Yeah I just painted over the reflectors. Was debating doing ptm red on them but decided on black

Ah okay, that's good news then. I was hoping just painting the reflectors would look that clean. Yours came out so good I really couldn't tell if they were painted or removed. But, I guess this is where my inexperience comes in, but what do you mean by flasher led flasher relay? Do you mean don't get the resisters they offer? I just couldn't find what you were talking about.

I have the resistors now and they work great but they get really hot. You can get a new flasher relay to replace the factory one so it won't hyperflash. I don't know for sure what they're called or how to find them but I know Cman and browning do.

Ohhh okay, now I'm following you. I wouldn't of even thought about getting a new flasher relay.

why would you go through the trouble to add in resistors when you could've just gotten a flasher relay and pop it in place of the factory flasher relay?? that's kinda stupid in my opinion. you'd rather cut up your factory wiring instead of just changing a relay. smh

Why do you think I said I wouldn't recomend a resistor. If I could do it again I would've gotten a flasher relay. It was about a year and a half ago and I did zero research before I ordered em

Do you have a link to the flasher relay you used?? or a model number.
