My 04 F150 FX4
Hey all, I figure I can go ahead and post some pics of the truck since I've done a bit to it since I got it. This is my Daily Driver, so it probably wont be getting much other than a few minor touch ups (door handles and bed rails need paint)
First off, after I painted the stock fender "flairs" and the cowl back to a nice purdy black I decided to do the bumpers and rockers, so I went off to with the Plasti Dip
After that I decided I really needed some sort of step, but I don't really like full length boards or nerf bars. I would have loved some electric steps that fold away, but this aint my toy so I can't justify spending that much money it. I searched around a bit and decided to go with the hoop style step, got the Carr ones.
Crappy drill battery problems aside it was easy to install and now it's SO much easier to get in and out with out, not to mention I don't slide on the seat bolster so much and I wanted to try to keep wear on the seat down as much as possible since I want this truck to last a while.
This was taken yesterday, and she's a bit dirty (actually a lot dirtier than she looks in the picture). My fiancee took her up state SC last weekend while I was out of town and I managed to meet up with them on my way home so I took the truck out for a bit of actual off road fun. The lowcountry has NO real off road stuff (outside of the odd ill-cared for dirt road and the couple of mud spots) so I was excited to actually be able to throw it in four wheel drive and CLIMB something! So it got dirty and then I've been working or it's been raining so I haven't bothered giving it a proper bath.
We got a video on my fiancee's phone but she's having trouble emailing it to me, once she does I'll post it up. It's nothing really special, but its something.
