2014 FX4 6.2L Build
Hello all,
so decided to trade my '11 Ford Edge Sport 16km for a new '14 FX4 6.2L Screw 5'5" bed Ruby Red with Full Package minus moonroof/nav system.
My biggest decision is whether to go 3.55 or the 3.73; dealer has me down as 3.55 says due to better fuel mileage and since I don't plan to pull whole lot if at all and if I do it'll most likely be a flat trailer for a future ATV at maybe a few times if ever.
So the question is "Is the dealer right to have my gear ratio optioned at 3.55 or should I call them and have it changed to 3.73" before they send in the invoice to factory to have it built.
From what I've read in the forums is that a 3.73 is meant more for the max towing package for 11,500 + weight, regardless of this, and I understand the 3.55 is a ratio to tow at @7500Ibs. What concerns me is when I plan to upgrade and add 33s, and 4-6" lifts will the 3.55 be acceptable.

I have 3.55 on my truck and I don't really notice the difference. I have a 2in Leveling Kit, 33s and 17s on my truck and it isn't noticeable. Although I have a CAI so it helps a little bit. Interested in hearing about people's opinion on 3.73s on their truck.
