You've got a lot on your plate there. Good job with the pictures too. You've done a lot of tear down work and I'm wondering what your plans are for the rebuild. Do you plan to go through your rear axle and repair as needed, or replace it with new. How about the exhaust? It looked to be in pretty good shape. What about the engine? You going to get into that too? Keep the pictures coming and good luck. Looks like a good project.

Tear down looks great, are you swapping the T18 out so you have an overdrive gear?

With 183k on the 302 it will be pulled. I have to figure out what direction to go, MAF or not and how wild I can go. (10.5:1 maybe full roller) Exhaust is solid just have to clean it up. X pipe it if I can and make better mounts. Well I could stick with the 8.8 or go to a 9 inch. If I stick with the 8.8 I'm not putting it back in with a open diff.

Yes twisting 3k to 3.5k cruising on the highway sucks... Did it for 6 years

I used a cut off wheel and cut the top of the bolts off. The bed is junk so I didn't really care if I cut into it.

Almost ready to pull the power plant. 183k miles on her. The oil is usually fuel soaked at 3k so she is a bit tired.
