Default Ictok's Silver FX4 Build

Well I figure I might as well post and keep track of my truck's progress here.

2012 FX4 Ecoboost 3.73 electronic locker. Luxury package with everything but a moonroof, trailer brake control, and the appearance package.

I bought the truck new to me May 2013 from Baxter Ford here in Omaha. I had a very great experience. It was originally owned by some retired farmer from Iowa who just used to to go back and forth from his house to the city so it was in great shape when I bought it. All highway, meticulously cleaned and cared for. Right around 10k miles. I brought it home looking like this:

He had already had a leveling kit installed. So that was already out of the way. Eventually I might do a lift, but I like it how it is. Then I started getting mod fever and began my process. First was getting the intercooler guard/boost bars installed. I used a black Putco insert. Then I got my windows tinted in the front to match the back and got the brow. Then I got kinda bored with my wheels so I decided to plasti-dip them black.

They looked alright, but still not hitting it for me so I decided to start looking for some wheels. TheBlack2011FX4 was selling some wheels locally so I went ahead purchased them. Gear Recoils and then put on some BFG TA KOs.

Next I started a few smaller stuff while I waited on funds to build up after getting the new shoes. I did all of these mods:

-LED light conversion (all interior, plus puddle, license plate, reverse, and 3rd brake)
-Plasti-dipped the orange mirror reflector
-Plasti-dipped the F-150 emblems
-Ford all weather mats
-Deezee Tailgate Assist
-Masterlock Tailgate Lock
-Had Brady do my headrest/armrest embroidery

Next was time for some performance mods. I ordered my Airaid CAI and a Diamond Eye 4" stainless catback exhaust system and a 4" to 5" black MBRP exhaust tip. Got those installed over a weekend. And then I got my engine cover painted.

The engine cover was the last mod I have done so far. I also have an 8' whip with a 3'x5' American flag and a silver LEER topper available for the truck, but I do not usually have them on the truck unless its a holiday for the flag or I am taking a trip with the topper.

This weekend I plan on removing the ecoboost door emblems and the air dam valence thing from the front of my truck. I also am going to play around with venting my blow off valve to atmosphere. The next big mods to come are a tuner, AMP research power steps, and some retrofit headlights. Any suggestions, comments, questions, criticisms, whatever, let me know. Thanks! I just got her all cleaned up last night so here she is as stands all nice and clean.

Truck is looking good man! I've got an 11 Ecoboost that I'm currently building. How you liking the intake? I think I'm going to go with the AFE Stage 2 in the next month or so. Keep up the good work!

Trucks looking sweet. Check out my buddy josh at Redline lighting for some retros! Here's a picture of mine.

I also removed the air dam and makes a big appearance difference. No economy difference!

Intake sounds really nice. I just like hearing the turbos spooling. It's a bit harder with the exhaust, but its still nice. I ended up not doing the blowoff yet due to a friend coming in from Chicago this weekend, but I'll get to it soon enough and see how it sounds.

Yeah, I agree. Probably closer to November I'm thinking.

Your truck looks awesome man, simple but tasteful/useful mods. The tuner, retrofits will really make your truck stand out more.

Just put in an order with Stage 3 for some performance stuff. New plugs, SCT livewire tuner, UPR catch can, and aFe charge pipe. Will post pics of install and afterwards. Very excited to wake up the truck.
