Now that I havve something worth showing off, Ill make a build thread.

Lets start with how we were introduced... In late Dec to early Jan of 2010-2011 I was looking for a new ride. My 1991 Chevy Camaro was starting to become a money pit and I was getting tired of it. So I saved up some cash and the search was on. In the beginning, I was going to buy a cash truck ($5000 is what I had) so I started looking. I knew I wanted 4wd and I have some strange fasination with 91-94 Ford Explorers. So I found a 94 Explorer 4x4 that was really shinny on craigslist....owned by a pot head. Next... I found me a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 4x4... decent truck... trans was about to fall out of it. Next... Then I looked at a (Ford fathers please forgive me...) 2001 Dodge Dakota V6 4x4. I actually liked this truck but the hole in the wall dealership wouldnt work with the price what so ever. I said up yours and left. So my mother said while we were on the way home "Why dont we stop at the ford dealership and see what they have, you should finance a vehicle and build up your credit!" (I was 19 at the time.) So I considered it even tho the thought of a car payment scared me alittle with todays economy. We went to the ford dealership, first I looked at a 2000 F150 xlt v6 ext cab...2wd... 99k on the clock. She was alright but we just didnt click... Then as we were parking her, they rolled up the beautiful 2003 Ford F150 Super crew, She gleamed in the sun, had a beautiful sound to her. I had to get to know her! We went for a ride... With 68,517 miles on the clock, she was flawless. I didnt even care that she was 2wd. I had to make her mine! So I dropped a deposit on her so they would hold her for the next 2 days until my next day off. (I had to go to work.) Those 2 days were hell btw...Finally the day came, I was at the dealership at 8am on January 7 2011 to purchase the love of my life. We drove off the lot at 68,523 miles on her.

Now for photos.
Dealer photo.

Day one, filled her up right after I bought her.

Now I wasnt a fan of the ugly mud flaps and bug shield so they had to go.
Only pic... Oh and it snowed and I couldnt drive her for 4 days 2 days after I bought her

So I've always wanted a truck with a grill guard. Got on craigslist and started searching and calling. What I really wanted was a ranch hand guard... but they are few and far between. Settled on an ebay guard used. Bought it, repainted it and installed it.

Then I wanted some off road lights... and with my name being Casey, I wanted KC lights. Christmas was coming up and my mother suprized me with a set of KC daylights.

I had been saving for a touch screen radio, At this point in time I worked for Toyota of Plano and our parts guy had a hook up with a distributer for back of cams, $35 later I had a back up cam to go with my pinoneer touch screen. Our after market installer was kind enough to help me install the head unit and cam. Installed!

Now she needed some new shoes...
Saved up my money again and purchased a set of 265/70/17 Nitto terra grappers. I LOVE THESE TIRES.

Now we are at 81,037 miles on her. Its our 1 year aniversery. The 1 year pic.

Changed jobs and finally got my mechanics job I have been wanting. Im a tech for Midas. My boss has a 2001 Ford F150 ext cab. He likes my truck and wants to buy my grill guard. I told him the only way I'd sell it is if I found a ranch hand.So i started looking... I found a guy selling a 2003 KR F150 with a ranch hand on her. Made a phone call and he said he would let the guard go for $125 Sold my boss my guard and installed it for $140 and made the 160 mile round trip to go get my Ranch hand
Horibble pic but its from the night I got it.

Stayed late at work to install it...

Had to reinstall my lights so I made some brackets. Not a very good Idea, They shook to much...

One of the guys at work had an air drill so we driller through the side of the guard and it ended up like this..

I really like them down there.

A few months before I was at an F150 meet and one of the guys on here told me that he saw a rough country 2wd leveling kit for my truck. Searched and found it at the meet and started texting. He wanted $100 for it and I asked you standard (what is the lowest you will go on it) question. He said $40 I picked it up later that day!
Fast foward 6 months (yes it took me 6 months to get the kit on...)

The silver F150 in the background is my bosses and thats my old guard on it.
So in being impatient, I put the springs on with my factory shocks until my new ones came in 2 days later...Here is what happend...

Oops.. Got my procomp shocks in and installed and wow what a difference!!

Well Thats it for today at 1 year, 7 months and 11 days im at 92,402 miles sitting in my circle drive. I love my truck as much as I did one day one.
Future plans for her...
New window tint
New speakers
Keep on trucking. She is almost done with what I want to do.
I will take some pics when it stops raining and I can clean her up! Thats all for now.
