Default Been a while...build thread

Hey folks,

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything on here, but I've never really been much of a talker on forums.

I completely enjoy my truck. It's a 2007 F-150 FX4 Screw. I was excited when I got Trux Techz in the RGV to lift my truck for me and then the mod bug never stopped so here is my journey and chronicle.

Lifted by Trux Techz and riding on 20x10 Fuel Dunes with 37x1250x20 Nitto Trail Grapplers

Added Bushwacker fender flares and a Westin brush guard.

I had KC HiLites rectangular lights on the brush guard at first but then quickly got rid of them once I got this 20 inch light bar.

There isn't such a thing as too much light in my book so I added a 40 inch light bar that sits on a Carr light bar on the roof.

There's also some other things I put on the truck like Pacesetter Quiktrip long tube headers, high flow cats, 22 inch Magnaflow mufflers (tried my best to minimize drone), Magnaflow X-pipe, Magnaflow tips straight through to the rear, Volant cold air intake (did not use the ram air portion of the intake kit though), and I run the truck on a SCT 93 octane tune. There's still more that I want to do and there is more to come, but I have to take care of some things first. I'll update more in time as I make these things happen.

Forgot to mention that I hated the billet grill so I replaced it with a Saleen grill.

Changed out the spark plugs to SP-515's. I used my Kobalt cordless impact gun to safely remove all 8 spark plugs without a single break. Also changed out the cops to ACCEL cops.

you notice any performance gains after you changed your plugs and packs? I have the Accel super coils already just haven't gotten plugs yet.

IF there were any performance gains I didn't notice it. Best I can say about them is that my truck idles smoother and seems to run better when I give it some gas. The combination of the plugs and packs together most likely contributed to this. The electrodes on the old plugs were pretty darn worn out. Use them if you have them but do what I did and save the factory ones. I highly doubt any of my factory packs were bad in any way.

I got the most gains from the long tube headers, high flow cats, full exhaust, intake and tune. The truck drives amazingly well for having 3.73's and 37's.

Sorry it took so long to reply. I've been on vacation with my son. I used Pacesetter Quiktrip long tube headers with Magnaflow high flow cats. The only bad thing I have to say about the headers is that I should have taken the time from the beginning to take them in for a good ceramic coating from top to bottom. Other than that I get some great performance out of them.
