Why don't stealerships actually build nice trucks. Not with crap bolt ons. Heres a real ford for exaple running 40x14.50x17 with NO LIFT.

Spydertrax hubs, adjustable kings front and rear, Dynatrac front end with detroit locker, 5.13 gears, RCV racing CV axles, Lower and upper control arms with heim instead of ball joints. PSC hydrolic steering instead of the Crap oem rack and pinion gearbox. +4.5 fenders, atlas transfer and a bunch of other things. It's sits higher then 4 inch/6ich with 35's f150. But most important is 100% more capable offroad then anything IFS lifted/Leveled.
and that cost what ??

Who are you to say it's wrong? Just because it's something you wouldn't do doesn't mean it's wrong he's not building a machine to run the desert at 90mph. But to say it's "useless" is just ignorant.

It's actually sold already! The client that bought it requested all these modifications. After 13% tax, she'll be just over 100 grand.

Do it properly. Kids put leveling blocks and spacers on their first vehicles i remember mine. Hockey puck lifts.
I work with off-road trucks... you know how many cracked shock spacers i see on a basis.... Ford built the truck with certain geometries in mind. If you're a mechanical engineer then go ahead, but if you're just another guy you barely have an idea apart from what's written on the box. with a 2.5 shock spacer lets say your CV joint angles are out of spec and viola premature wear and tear not only on those but the ball joints ect. It be another thing if all joints where heim at-least it could take the added stress.
Not bashing just FYI from a person that has built nuff trucks. If one has 77K to drop on a new truck they sure have the $$ to do a proper build. Just my 2 cents. I love the new 15's though!

Sounds like someone is having a bad day. It's obvious that you think you're better and smarter than everyone else here. I think what you're forgetting is that not everyone needs an ugly Raptor to go off road with. My truck has had a front level for a couple years and hasn't broken anything. The main issue that you're failing to see here is that I paid for my truck, I'll do whatever I want to it, regardless of what people like you think about it. And I'm sure that applies to everyone else on this board that has mods on their trucks.

So just sit back, relax, and stop caring about what other people spend their money on.

I do appreciate and agree with your opinion. However, every opinion has its place. Around here, people have money, but not in excess. 99% of trucks done up like this one we're doing won't even see a dirt road, let alone go off roading. It's all for looks.

Update from today:

We tried removing the bars that the wheel was hitting on, as a temporary solution, but was a more involved job than we had expected. The cab would have had to be lifted off the frame, or remove the front bumper, wheel well, and torch the bolts off.

Not the ideal situation, so we decided to order the 4.5" skyjacker full suspension lift kit.

Looks good! Can't wait to see it when it's done with the skyjacker lift.
