Default 96grimreaper's 14 tuxedo Black FX4 build/showoff

Ok, well I'm back again....version 2

I spent 4 months in a 2013 Taurus SHO which was a fun car but hated not having a truck as my daily driver.

Like my old thread "I'm back...again" I'll add a few links to my previous trucks on here but so I don't clutter the thread I won't post the pics, just the links.

2010 STX 6" lift on 35's

2003 Excursion 7" lift on 37's.

2012 SCrew FX4 Leveled on 34's

2001 Platinum F250 leveled on 35's

2014 F250 FX4 leveled on 34's

2014 SCrew FX4 Leveled on 35's

Now that I'm done showing off old trucks, here is my newest one.

2014 FX4 402A package with Nav
5.0 3:73 gears
13k miles

Previous owner added some aftermarket stuff, some I love...others not so much.

Raptor wheels with BFG 305/65/17
Raptor running boards
Roush exhaust
LED tails and 3rd brake light
Unknown mesh grill
Manual fold factory Ford tow mirrors
Ford hard bed cover
Bed Rug
Rough Country Winch Mount

Here's a few pics:

For all you detailers these will make you cringe. Previous owner apparently only used car washes with brushes and someone who should not have had a buffer in their hand worked their "magic" Unfortunately, the entire truck is covered in swirls and holograms. I did pull the emblems to polish the paint without any obstructions and to paint them.

Comments/plans:
2" level is going on tonight.
Livernois 91 tune-Using the Mycal tuner I had on the SHO.
This weekend I'm going to give the truck a full correction detail-hopefully I can avoid wet sanding.
Painted F150 emblems-gloss black surround, gloss grey interior.
Painted tail gate oval.
315/70/17 tires-debating on which ones.
12k lb winch to make good use of the winch plate in the bumper.
New power fold mirrors since the current ones are manual fold.
LED reverse lights under bumper.
LED light bar behind grill.

I'm trying to make myself like the grill. I already sprayed the "bolts" around the edge with plastidip since they were chrome. Huge improvement there IMO.

Already replaced the interior and reverse lights with 5000k led's.

Grill is horrible!

Is the truck stock height with the Raptor wheels and tires now? Does it rub at all?

I know I'm doing my best to make myself like it so I don't have to spend $500 on a different one.

It's stock height right now but those tires aren't the factory Raptor size, they are 305/65/17 advertised as 32.6 (I think) and only measure out to 31 on the truck. The factory raptors are 315/70/17's.

They're gonna look really small after I install the leveling kit.

Thats a face even a mother couldn't love. Ditch the grill. I got a c-clamp insert I would sell yah on the cheap. Just got a tremor insert. Oh and get some appearance package emblems to fill those gaps.

I have a Mycal from my SHO that Livernois used. How much did they charge you to make tunes for the F150?

Edit: Black as you know is incredibly hard to maintain but when right looks the best by far. Good luck with the project. Oh and the grill doesn't look so bad. Kinda gives it a MadMax appearance.

Thanks guys. Did we ever make any progress on a local meet?

Unfortunately the insert is attached to the surround so an insert won't help. I'm may try putting an emblem on it and see what it does. At least it allows the future led light bar to shine through. I've got the factory emblems on the garage shelf. I painted the chrome portion gloss black and the insert a dark grey.

Eventually. They have the signals, puddle lights and I believe they are heated.

They didn't charge anything because I'm the original owner of the tuner. If you aren't it's $250 I believe.

I love black, I've had plenty of black cars/trucks and it's definitely a love/hate relationship. Right now it's sitting in the garage taunting me waiting to be polished.
