Default The 2016 Rally Truck Build

Good day! I will chronicle the build of my truck in this thread... Give me some time while I catch up....

My previous ride was a 2012 Subaru STi. I loved this car, I honestly did.

As you can see - I drive my vehicles, no weekend trailer queens for me.

With my foray into Rally, it's time for a dedicated Rally car, which means a service truck, and something to tow the car. So that's where the F-150 comes in. I will also be daily driving it.

The day I picked her up.
2016 F-150 SuperCrew 5.0L 6.5" Bad. 501A, Ruby Red Metallic, All-Terrain Tires, Moonroof, FX4, Trailer Brake, 3.55 Locked, Wheel Liners.

Nothing says new truck like using it AS a truck to bring parts home when you pick it up..

Window Sticker...

The first thing to go was this crappy stock exhaust, it's so quiet - I want to hear this 5.0L Sing!

Installed a Magnaflow single side exit. I want to retain my spare, and all the good dual exhaust systems remove the spare. The sound difference is VERY VERY worth it.

Getting the tip all lined up the way I want.

Back on the ground and looking good!

In she goes to the local Line-X Dealer... I didn't want the factory spray in, I like the quality of Line-X and their Warranty. Truck sprayed with Line-X Premium

These guys did an amazing job..

Back home in the shop.. A BakFlip HD was installed

Running board - Go Rhino RB10... I wanted something stout that is close to the rockets and doesn't hang down, these fit the bill.

Very stout brackets!

Brackets installed before running boards

Brackets installed

Go rhino puts their little tag on them with rivets which at lease shows me where the rust will start

Vented style

The boards use a bracket that sandwiches the bracket to the board, which means they have ultimate adjustability to fit he way you want

Finally finished! Took about 20 minutes

Nice and tight fit, nice finish.

Warn Ascent Bumper... Sent out for LineX

That's a lot of hardware, very very heavy duty stuff.

GalaxyMoto Grill with lights.... This is how it comes before the letters kit

Factory Horns sound like a fiesta... Gotta go

A pair of hella SuperTones takes place of factory horns, relay located on inner fender, factory horn wires used for trigger

GalaxyMoto Grill Installed, power for the lights is taken from the marker light in the headlight unit.

All taken apart and ready for bumper bracketry.

The bumper comes with VERY stout hardware and brackets - lots of hardware - lots and lots of hardware.

After mounting up all the brackets the bumper is on.. I recommend keeping everything loose until everything is in and then tighten. It is a very tight fit.

A good view of the brackets and hardware once on.

For this build I am using a Warn XEON 12 winch

80FT of Spydura Synthetic winch rope.

All done! Finished off the winch with a Factor55 FlatLink safety thimble because I am not a fan of hooks.
