Default 2015 F150 2.7L Crew Cab - Magnetic Metallic - By Stage3motorsports.com

With all the talk about the 2.7Ls, and us being big Ecoboost fans, we had to build a 2.7L project truck. We picked a Magnetic Metallic 2.7L crew cab lariat 4x4. This build will not be as big or crazy as our past couple builds but more meant to showcase smaller accessories and 2.7L specific engine parts. Stock photos...

As always we start with interior protection. We usually have husky or weathertech floor liners ready before the truck arrives. Alot of our pictures and videos are taken off road and we like to have the liners in before we take 3 or 4 guys out in the mud and sand and track it all over our new vehicles. In this case we choose the weather tech F150 front and rear mat set in grey.

I did make a post about this in the 15 section of the forum, but here is the DEEZEE F150 bed mat. My comment on this would be that these are not the flimsy versions of a bed mat that I remember from when I was younger. This is very heavy and will not wear out over time. Also as you can see from the pics the fit on the 15 bed is perfect.

This truck is also getting alot of "Take off parts" from our 2015 F150 3.5L project truck. So this truck received the Icon Stage 1 coil over kit. Nothing crazy as far as suspension goes on this truck. Just a solid kit with good ride on road and plenty of off road capabilities.

As you can see above we also replaced the stock 18s with a set of OEM 20s and OEM 275 tires for now. We are thinking KO2s would fit this truck nicely.

I know we wont be winning any SEMA builder awards for this but we wanted to see what this Weathertech Bump step looked like. At first I didnt like it, and let me be clear it will not make it on to a truck I drive everyday, but it has it place. It has a couple hole placements so that you can tuck it in closer to the bumper than we show in our pics. Seems like a decent thing if you have someone that drives your truck who you may not trust backing it up......and Ill just leave that alone.

This doesn't seem to offer much protection, only the center of the bumper. If I wasn't comfortable letting someone drive my truck without it, I wouldn't be comfortable letting someone drive my truck with it either. Backup camera and sensors seem like better options.

Yeah I agree. Our truck does have the sensors and camera. Just looking to show off some options.

We used the take off bumpers from our 3.5L big brother project truck and had them painted to match this truck. We also purchased a OEM grill.
