Default Mrocha85's 2012 FX4 Build

Well I figured I can finally start my build thread now that its really getting built. Purchased this 2012 fx4 5.0 back in January of 2014. I got it for a good deal and it only had 18K miles on it. If you guys have seen my 06 you know I am a big fan of white.

Here is the truck when I first got it.

First thing to go was the ugly antenna

Next I swapped out the go rhino boards that were on it and replaced them with some OEM Factory Electric steps. That was a challenge within itself trying to get that to be a factory install. I never got it to work but I did get them to work with the AMP Research controller and wiring harness. If you are considering get electric steps I highly recommend them. I also ended up doing a OEM HID retrofit. I found some HIDs on ebay and put the Evox-r projects with them w/ a little white and black flavor.

Next I put a MH1 mesh grille in.

I also swapped out my tails and 3rd brake lights for the blacked out recons (not pictured).

A led retro in the puddle lamps. Easy and cheap!

Swapped out the fx4 valance and tow hooks for a painted fx2 valance. Looks a lot cleaner and it was only $50, perfect condition.

I have been waiting for this build since you sold your last truck, I'm excited to see it put together, I can only imagine how you feel. Very clean and nicely done
