We'll see in a few years you don't know how they'll be then. If I could do want I want I'd probably stay with ford but with it being part work truck I can't do what I want to it so dodge has the slight edge over ford. I'd be getting a $60K truck that I would be down grading to from my truck now. The dodge comes in a 55K and is pretty well done from the factory. If the raptor wasn't just coming out I'd think about it but trying to get one will be hard.

My fleet manager gave me a little update since the F150 is going out kicking and screaming since now my rear defroster is acting up. Ram gave us a target production week of 10/31/16 but it could be built before, during or after. I'm not getting my hopes up till it shows up but it's nice to know they have a date, whether or not they hold to that date will be a mystery.

Yes it has been a long time and I'm glad it can help. Eh, the new raptors have a great suspension set up from the factory but the motors I'm not so sure about. We'll see how they go when guys get some miles on them but from what I noticed about mine is it can get very good mpgs on the highway but sucky mpgs around town since my lifetime mpgs is like 12.4-12.5.

My 5.0 is averaging like 16-17 around town stock tires. Too much skinny pedal Scott lol

Yeah cause all of the stupid people out on the roads. My 35 minute drive to work could take 45-60 minutes if I just stayed in the right lane.

Well Monday came to an end of White Lightning for me and I picked up Not Your Average Rebel Storm Trooper. So far I'm liking the ram but still getting use to it since it's a big change. The power seams pretty close but just different way of doing it since there's no turbo lag or kick in at the wrong time, the MPGs are pretty much the same right now but I'm hoping they come up once the motor is broken in.

2017 Ram Rebel fully loaded like the F150 was.

I like it! You should do a real world comparison sometime. Anything you miss right off the bat?

The few days I've had it.
F150 Pros
Tow Mirrors, better storage in the back/ under the seats, flat back floor, sunglass holder space, better back up camera, better turning radius so something since it's much easier to back up, tail gate step with stipper pole, center console and steering wheel controls are a little easier to use but nothing major but ram has some things that ford didn't so it would be nice to see them standardize the user controls so you can adjust and see what's going on or feature operation, memory seat and mirrors.
Cons
Ecoboost (the power is great but MPGS and over all feel, if you've had V-8 trucks all your life then you'll feel like something is missing), no air ride, no ram box, stupid turn signal stalk (I hated how it never stayed up or down), no aggressive offroad look with the FX4 unless you go to the raptor

Ram Rebel
Pros
Air ride, Ram box, less restrictive traction control when on, off road look and don't have to go to a wide body raptor, rear in floor storage, 33ish" tires, no console shifter to take up space or column shifter,
Cons
no Fords style tow mirrors or standard mirrors with blind spot mirrors, no sunglass holder, no adjustable head rests, they don't bother my back but it's nice to be able to adjust them, no memory seat and mirrors.

I'm sure there's things I'm leaving off for both and some are very stupid/ small complaints about both.
