Exactly what I was getting at. There was one kid at my high school who was given a brand new done up Tacoma in grade 11. Within half a year he had been in 3 accidents that were all his fault and failed to do any maintenance on it which caused it to run like crap and be in the shop constantly. He didn't care though because he didn't pay for it and would just drive another vehicle.
I'm not saying all kids will do that, but a good portion of kids will regardless of how they were raised, and a truck like that, as previously said, is way too big for somebody who's a new driver.
I do understand the idea of giving not earning but he works everyday he isn't involved in a school function.. this was a father and son build and I wouldn't change it ..

well. I would have killed for my dad to have given me his old truck... but I must say... my first car i beat the f*ck out of and I'm glad he didnt, I would have sunk it in a mud hole before the first month. This seems like a little different situation and I hope he takes care of it having actually put some sweat equity into it. It made me appreciate the truck that I have now a whole lot more. I'm 22 now, and I have my 13 stx and love it like a child... He'll take good care of it I'm sure.
