I agree. I've never been too crazy about the LEDs and halos. I like a simple, clean look. Mrocha85 gave me a super deal, and paint isn't gonna cost me anyhting( pays to have friends ). They should look real good when they're done.

If I had the OEMs, I probably wouldn't do anything other than paint. Those I would be apprehensive about opening. When a buddy sends me another OEM set that's already open, I'll have three sets of headlights to mess with, so hopefully I can get one retrofit'd set of them haha.

They're all 04-08 heads anyway You could if you nutted up and opened them! Painting is the easiest and most straight-forward part. They work way better than any old halogen setup (mine SUCK), but can definitely be improved. I'd leave them alone though, considering you've already paid over $1k for them.

They came on the truck lol but agreed. I can always add red accents other places or purple cause 2012platinum got me thinking about doing purple now haha *******

I know, but they're a $1200 or so option that you ticked off! Haha don't you already have red wheels accents or something?

Lol I wish I'd of got a truck built to my specs. I just picked one on the lot and said I'll take it lol. No all I have is red tire pressure gauages. I decided to not do the plastidip on the rims cause the ex didn't like it and didn't have time when I lived with her. Now that I'm with my parents I'd like to but I'll probably just do black and save up for some 22s and 35s

I think we all would, but then you'd have had to wait 3 months for it, pay more for it, etc. I just took a basic-as-they-come XLT and have been adding all the OEM and aftermarket things I wish it had come with. Once my lift is done, I'll have almost the same total money invested in my truck as a 2014 XLT screw 2wd costs down here Kinda been wishing I had waited and gotten a 11+ once I had way more money (relatively, like I do now), but then it'd be stock, so I go back and forth.

I think doing the black on the wheels will look better. Not to discourage you at all from adding red accents, but I'm not a fan of all the powder-coated lift kits and random colored accents everywhere. I prefer two colors only on an entire vehicle, save small bits of chrome/aluminum in select areas. It's just a difference in preferences.

What woman cares what their boyfriend/husband/it's complicated does to their truck? Bitches man . . . kinda sounds like you're better off now to me, not to intervene.

Yeah my next truck I'll probably get built but that's years from now. Honestly I kinda wish I'd if gotten a basic xlt but I love my flow thru console and console shifter. But it'd been cheaper ti add everything I have now lol and I would've added a aftermarket head unit and all that but oh well I love my truck 98% of the time lol

Oh don't worry about it that's what I come on here for is opinions and ideas on mods. I do want to powder coat my lift whenever I get one just to be different and draw more attention to my truck. Before 2012 platinum mentioned his purple fogs I was gonna do red black and silver(Ohio State colors ) but now he's got me kinda wanting to switch everything to purple instead of red lol

Well I put a lot of money into my ranger before I got with her and she hated it because could never take the kids and her in it blah blah blah. At first she wanted me to lift it on rims and all that then I slowly started buying little things and doing little things and she got all mad. I am happier now that I'm not with her honestly. Sucks I have to move back in with my parents until I get debt paid off but it is what it is just thankful my parents welcomed me back with open arms

I do prefer the console shifter, that's for sure. But I'd have had to step up to a Lariat or basic FX to get it and those were too expensive haha. The thing with me and higher trim levels is that I love some things, but could care less about others, but I have to pay for them all. Like a screw STX would be perfect for me because I don't care about wood grain, power seats, nav, etc. but I like the PTM bumpers and no chrome look. Basically I only care about the outside haha.

I do like PC lifts when they're the same color as the body, like @Mrocha85's old white truck with the white Rancho, or yours with silver done. I just don't like the trucks with green or some other random color picked out. Two-tone trucks that go ahead and throw another color into the already overloaded color mix are the worst, like black and tan paint with red lift. But it's also not worth the extra money to me to have the lift PC'd either I would like mine white though . . .

I've yet to be with someone that I'd consider completely "right" for me and truly made me happy, so I (probably) know how that feels. My parents have said that there will be no coming back when I finish college, but I'm the first of 4 kids, so we'll see what happens haha. I also never understood why women think a 6" lift makes it that much harder to load kids. Sweetheart, it's like a diesel with a level . . .
