im running 12k's so they would have the purple color to them. they aren't the brightest, but I didn't want to look like every other truck running 6k's that are blue. they do look sick when you have the heads and fogs on! I ordered new bulbs cause my driver side burnt out, so I just got a full set so they would all be the same color.

Well I've already talked to Mrocha85 and I'm gonna get his '13 factory hid's and I plan on opening them up for some custom paintwork. The 12k hid's are just a temporary fix until I get his.

Lol. Well thank you. I've been wanting a set of factory hid's, but the price is ridiculous for a set, and the retros aren't much better. I got a killer deal from Mrocha85, and I like the factory hid better anyways. I'm just gonna paint em factory tuxedo black, and get a friend to do some airbrushing too. Nothing crazy, but different and eye catching.

I like the factory sets best too. Simplicity and subtlety is key for retros IMO. I used to like halos and all that, but now I don't care for them. I'm planning on doing one custom touch to the side reflectors and that's it, other than the paint.

No offense to the "big name" retro guys on this site, but their prices are absurd. And who does want to pay $1800 for OEMs with an FXR conversion? There are a few good guys on f150online that will do basic Mini retros for around $550 and FXRs for a little more. Painting and all that sends it to the $700 range, but still not bad. I'll be doing a Mini H1 retro when TRS releases the 7.0 and it won't cost me any more than about $350 to do myself. $400 including PTM paint I already have.
