Thanks! Once the painted door handle cups (with chrome handles) and mirror caps are on it should look even better. I'm also working on a painted grille surround but that won't be until next year.

Pretty much any other color I would have went with a blacked out theme. But like you said, the Blue Flame and chrome is a sweet combo. On top of that, since it'll have a bit of a Platinum look going on it'll be a bit of a unique look.

I've been spending most of my free time on house reno's, but I plan on putting some more effort into the truck in the upcoming weeks. I really want to get my door handle cups sanded down so that they can go out for paint finally. That will get me everything I need in order to button up the truck's exterior. Stay tuned for some updates in the new year!

I got some time to work on the truck over the weekend. I got the new/used Ford molded mudflaps installed on the truck. I'm not too keen on the look but at least they're going to offer better protection against stone chips. I also got the seat heaters installed in the front seats along with the cleaned factory cloth covers. I really wish I had the budget to get leather covers but it just wasn't in the cards. I'm hoping to get the rear seats recovered and installed this weekend as well as finish wiring in the seat heaters if my replacement rocker switch comes in. I've got a to-do list made up to get the truck finished so I've got something to work towards now!

Last weekend I got all the seats back together and installed them in the truck. Once I got everything back in I confirmed that the passenger seat heater worked. It gets nice and hot, just the same if not better than an OEM system! I'm still waiting on the drivers side replacement heated switch, hopefully it shows up soon enough. I also cleared all my codes related to restraint system, with the seats missing the system was going crazy. Everything cleared just fine without any lingering issues.

I also got a chance to finish up sanding down the textured finish on the exterior handles and the mirror caps. They're now ready for paint, I'll be dropping them off at the body shop next week!

For the most part, I move it around the yard to clear snow without issue. Mechanically it's pretty much good to go, I just need to do an oil change soon. However, to drive it on the road I need to go get a safety inspection done, get an alignment and then get plates/insurance. That's on top of all the other little stuff I've got to get done. I'm not really in a rush right now since I've got my 2008 to drive around. Plus I'm saving the new truck from all the winter salt and sandblasting which is a bonus.
