The box is marked "MOTO" and "MORIMOTO".........seems like a ballast box

Is this a FOMOCO part or an aftermarket HID box?

The previous owner upgraded your truck. The HID as an OEM option didn't show up until 2013. So this is an aftermarket box to run the factory HIDs. theretrofitsource.com may give you some great information. You may also have upgraded projectors and bulbs.

Wonder why someone who leased the truck dumped so much money into it......I was told it was a mid year build and that's why it has 2013 stylings

Yeah. That makes no sense. Mine was manufactured in October of '12. Upper model FX4 Short Box.

Was reading back in your thread and saw the tidbit about your mileage. I'm currently getting 11.8 running 275/60R20 C Rated Studded tires for winter. I was packing and extra 360# of gravel for traction until all our snow melted and was getting 11.3. Tire size plays a big part, as does speed. Go much over 65 for short runs and it kills the mileage. Colder weather doesn't help much.

They spent some money then, because the front end is all different than other 2012 trucks I have seen

My '12 doesn't look like that in the front end.

8.5" wide, 6x135 bolt pattern, +44 offset, I think backspace is 6.5" not 100% sure

Really liking your truck, you caught a break with the previous owner putting in the HID lights, that's an easy $1,000+ upgrade. You still thinking about doing a cold air intake?

At this point in time, I will not blindly buy a $400 CAI

There is no point right, other than to gain sound

I will stock with the cheap Purolator drop in for now, but I am highly considering the4 drop in AEM. For $40 shipped, it MIGHT flow better than most CAI kits are capable of

http://www.aemintakes.com/search/pro...?prod=28-20385

I sent AEM an email to see if they test the CFM for this drop in

I am trying to research CFM requirements for the motor and start listing CFM capabilities of various filters

I know on my old gasser 4.7L Dakota, a larger TB really woke the truck up, even with stock tuning and an aftermarket CAI

I believe that BBK right now makes a 73MM TB

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BBK-1822/

http://www.bbkperformance.com/produc...le-bodies.html

BBK sells a 73MM and an 85MM, but the 85MM is way too much

The stock TB bore is 62MM
