With any aftermarket fiberglass product, the quality isn't close to OEM quality as far as fitment goes. Structurally, the Fiberwerx bedsides are build very well. Nice thick lay up and are a solid piece. They took quite a bit of work to fit right so I would suggest using as much OEM products as you can afford. I tried to save a buck on the front and bought the upper cover/valance and grille from Fiberwerx. I was not happy with the quality of the grille whatsoever and sold it before I painted it. I had the valance painted and could not get it to fit anywhere close to my likings. Ended up ****canning it and buying a new OEM piece from Ford. I have pretty high expectations for fit and finish though and everybody has different expectations. All OEM pieces on the front clip are plastic and the hood is fiberglass. I wouldn't have any worries about using fiberglass in lieu of steel.

Old Thread, but wanted to say, nice truck. Plan on doing same to my newly acquired 2010 Lariat. Was hesitant because of the 6.5 bed, but yours looks great, so I am optimistic about the outcome.

Nice
I really like what you've done. I was thinking of something similar. I have to clear things with my accountant (wife) first. I was trying to find the body parts or at least an estimate on line. Where might I look?

I've been slowly finding the parts. Mostly eBay and craigslist. I picked up both front fenders for $475 shipped. They need respray to match but since I saw them going for about $500 each I'd say I got a deal. Just picked up an oem valance also. Still looking for the grill, bumper and hood. Was actually hoping to use a ram air hood on my truck to set it apart, but Amerihood only makes it for stock f150s. The body lines don't match up. Unless I can get someone who could make an Amerihood work, may just go stock hood.

I will be selling my front bumper and most likely my fenders in the next month or two if interested.

Hi there. Truck Looks awesome. I have a 2009 F-150 STX 4x4 ext cab 6.5 ft bed. I'd really like to do exactly what you did. Are you planning on selling any of your raptor body parts?

Finally finished up a raptor conversion on my 2011 FX4 Supercrew 6.5 FT bed. All front end body parts are Ford OEM. The bedsides are from Fiberwerx. The suspension is all Ford OEM with the exception of Fox 3.0 Factory Series shocks front and rear. I swapped in a front torsen diff with 4.10s and had my rear gears swapped to 4.10s. Using 2" spacers in the rear to match the front track width. Plan to upgrade leaf springs to Deavers and install bumpstops in the near future.
