I feel like I'm going to end up doing that. It matches the raptor graphics okay on the sides but doesn't match the gloss pillars or mirrors caps. I'm gonna wait till I get my emblems finished then make a final decision, depending on what people say here.

I dig the black strip, but maybe it would match better if it was gloss?

I was thinking the same, but I really dig the satin finish because it matches all the black plastic on the truck. Plus I've already sprayed the tailgate emblems in satin and dsg and plan on custom emblems in matte gray and black, with the ford in gloss black. Really torn.

Here is the finished tailgate badge. I'm torn between meticulously taping off my one piece fender badges or just buying appearance package emblems and painting those.
The satin black came out a little iffy on the inner 0 so I might have to redo that.

Yesterday I came outside and noticed a lot of condensation in the driver side headlight. It had down poured all night the night before but I hadn't had an issue with either light leaking at all through the winter so I didn't think much of it. After another downpour yesterday I noticed about two inches of water sitting in the turn signal section. Took the light out and dried it out, couldn't find any leaks in the seal so I put it back in and I'm waiting to see if it leaks again before contacting the seller. Odd that the problem would pop up now after 5 months of trouble free use.

This is how much water I poured out.

Scary! I was thinking about purchasing the same lights. Let us know if they continue to leak and if you have to seal them.

Forgot to mention, I agree with HalfTon09. I think if the black stripe on the tailgate was glossy, it would look great. MHO...

I think most of the guys that have these haven't had any leaking issues, I guess I got unlucky and joined the small minority of people with issues. It's odd because it just started and the other one is perfectly fine. Overall I'm real happy with them, we will see how it holds up after more rain today.

I was itching to get a little extra kick for the sound system, since all my buddies have pretty decent sub setups and my dads Sony system was blowing mine away. I felt the easiest and most budget friendly approach would be to get a good single channel sub amp and a good sub so I could take the first step in upgrading to a solid system. I went with a JL Audio 300w single channel amp and a JL Audio Truck Powerwedge with a 10TW3. The box fits perfectly under the center portion of the double rear seat in my supercab and the amp sits right behind the drivers seat, bolted into the jack stand mounting spot. I would have went with a larger amp, but I wanted to keep cost down and leave room for upgrading door speakers and amplifying those when the time came. With only 300w to it, this sub really hits good. It doesn't come close to the raw power of my friends 2 12s or 2 10s but it sounds clean, and delivers a good range of notes. It isn't terribly punchy like a twin 10 setup can be. My dad was surprised to see that it blew his Sony system sub away. It still isn't quite there with the clarity, but the stock speakers sound miles better when they're not responsible for the bass, and you can use them to focus on hitting the mids and highs.
