Couple of photos I snapped after a bigger snow storm here at school.

Took some photos at a boat launch near school that I think came out pretty sweet. I haven't done any real long exposures with the truck yet and since I just got the normal wheel setup back on I figured this was as good a time as any.

So I ordered the Spyder C-Bar headlights as seen in the pictures above with plans to throw some 50w 5000K HIDs in them. The lights themselves act like a normal projector, with high and low beam controlled by a shutter, but they take H7 halogen bulbs, which are different than the factory H13 bulbs. When I ordered my HID kit from the retrofit source, I was told by retrofit source where I ordered the HID kit from that I needed the H13 harness to match the factory wiring, but H7 bulbs and igniters to fit the headlights. When I had everything wired up, it was as if I had too many plugs left over, with mismatched 3pin and 2pin configurations.
Has anyone thrown HID bulbs into these halogen Spyder headlights, and if so do you have a write up of your experience, wiring diagram or list of parts you used? I have yet to contact the ebay seller or the retrofit source, and I was just wondering if anyone had tackled this project before or had any input on weather H7 bulbs can plug into an H13 harness.

If I'm correct Spyder makes two different C bar headlights. One to replace the Halogens (replaces H13 with an H7) and one to replace the HIDs. If you were going to swap to HIDs you should've just gotten the HID replacement Spyders but I'm assuming you weren't aware of the two different heads.

I was aware they had two different sets, but the HID versions were out of stock with no expected in stock date, and I had also heard the halogen ones had the same internals and could be easily converted to HID with H7 bulbs. Apparently the two differ internally, and had I known I would've waited however long to get the HID set and conversion harness from TRS, and the install would've been pretty straight forward. I might end up sending everything back and going the other route.

Honestly this is what I would do. Get some H7 LED headlight bulbs and call it a day.

Edit: they should have good cutoff in a projector just like an HID would. And 4500lm is not bad at all.

If I could return the HID stuff to TRS without a heavy loss I would go this route, but thats kind of out of the question as of right now.

Spent some time vinyl wrapping some pieces today. Wrapped the pillars in gloss black to give the truck the infinite window look. I also wrapped the mirror caps but I'm not sure if I like that yet.

Couple of photos of cool vehicles I've seen around school that I was able to park near for a few minutes.

If I had that Porsche I'd drive the hell outta it.
