Default 2007 Lariat Storm Trooper

Day I bought her. My first truck, and I dont ever see myself going back to a car, or SUV.

A week after owning her, she needed some new shoes. I went with a Toyo AT2 275/65/18 with a mayhem chaos 18" wheel.

A closer look at the tread and wheels.

And Here is where the Storm Trooper project began. A Sunday afternoon project painting the grill black.

Only before shot I had, at a weird angle.

Took the grill off. Super easy and suggest this mod to anyone looking for a fast DIY project.

After

Decided to get a black on white overlay, thanks summers22 for the inspiration!

Blacked out the chrome step bars next.

Time to test PTM'ing the chrome front and back bumpers. I used a white plastidip ($5.98 a can at lowes). You can notice a miss match, but for $5.98 a can and some beer later I cant really complain with how it turned out. I think after winter is over Ill take it to a paint shop and get it done by the pro's.

Masking her off

After front bumper

Back bumper (I forgot to take a shot of masking off the back bumper)

Stay Tuned for next update! Halo CCFL's next!

Looks great, I actually just registered to say that I was planning pretty much the same thing for my 05 XLT.
Black rims, white bumpers, but with black on white logos instead.
I really hope mine turns out as nice as yours!

It took about 2 cans to get them fully coated. I used another can and just went until the can had no more. 6 coats in total on each bumper.

Thanks man. I seen you have the white on silver emblem. I seen that one on ebay for like $40 or something. Wasnt sure how it would look, I thought the whole emblem being white might be a bit much for the grill, but it looks super sexy on your rig man.

Just ordered some CCFL Halo's and some rear LED lights as well.
