Default 2003 Fx4

Few months back I bought a 2003 Fx4 extended cab with 160,000 miles. I tried to buy a clean truck that would require very little to no work to get it working properly before I started adding aftermarket stuff. I also tried to find one with little rust, which in Minnesota where we use something from the deepest depths of hell called road salt is very tough. With this being my first Vehicle, which I bought myself, I have purchased and installed everything by myself. I'm only 16 so don't tell me I need American Forces and a 8" BDS lift. This might not be a fast build, but I hope some of you will enjoy.

Started off by cutting out the muffler and fabbing up straight pipe. I welded that in along with a Black powder coated tip. This turned out to be a relatively cheap alternative to a full exhaust, and it still sounds good and is not obnoxious

Today I also installed a pair of Harley Davidson headlights and corners. I wanted to do a retrofit project, but that may be something that I do later down the road. For now I'll stick with some Sylvania Silverstars.

My blocks finally came, I replaced the factory 2" blocks with some new 4" blocks to make some room for some 33x12.5 MT's... Hopefully. Also cranked up my factory torsion bars and going to take it in to get aligned tomorrow.

I'm interested to see the herculiner, I've been considering it a lot lately.

Also I feel ya on the salt, I'm from the snowbelt in Ohio and it blows. Even 2008 and up dodges and that I've noticed with bad rust. My old 03 taco was NO exception to that torture.

The second coat of herculiner is mostly dry. It came out good and looks like it will be durable.
