Default wheels and tires

I am starting to look at wheels and tires. I need to be able to park this in garage, so I am think of staying with a 285/70 17 and a 3" body lift and I think I should still be able to fit in garage. Anybody got any height measurements for me for their wheel tire combos, that will fit in a standard 7' high garage?

Default bed sills

Ok, enough playing around, and back to the rust. Flipped the bed over to start repairing the bed sills. I thought I needed to, but put the needle scaler to them to verify, and it went thru in many locations, so, time to pick up some steel. Three center rails are shot, front and back ones are good. I got one off, tomorrow the next two, and pics, too much rust in the air, had to take a break!

Default bed sills are off

Only drilled through a few times drilling out the spot welds. Fixed them all up, and prepped for paint, and painted one coat KBS Rust Seal so far.

Default Replaced driver seat

In the midst of welding and painting the bed sills, I replaced the drivers seat leather.

Default Radiator support in and done

Found and bought the body mounts for the radiator support, painted with the Kbs coatings, welded it all in, and trying to remember, or figure out where all the connectors and wiring goes. I have new headlights, so those are just sitting pluged in place for now. I only seem to have one connector I can't figure out where it goes on the right hand side.

Love the repairs you have done. I have a 02 but is rust free and therez a ton of more salt on these roads. I think all the undercarriage flushes I get at the car wash has helped.

Thanks, I am sure the undercarriage treatment you give your truck helps. I just have to shake my head as I drive down the road, and see all the cars and trucks with rusted rockers, and such. I cannot vouch for anything on this truck but what I have done, seeing how I just got it and have only drove it about 4 miles. I do know it was a work truck, though, so it sat outside its whole life. This is probably the only time my truck has been in a garage!

You're welcome. I even went to the length of buying an electric anti-rust control unit. Puts a trickle charge to slow and/or eliminate the rusting process. I have so much tied up in the truck I am not buying another one. Itz old enuff I can do anything to it now. Gonna put a cage in it. I mainly need it as a mounting spot for the 5 point harness. Stock seat has me falling out in an ez turn. I like the feel of the stock seat, it just needed some belts to keep me in. Love driving my truck like the wife's SUV Explorer sport. it feels like a Porsche Cayenne with the ecoboost and badazz brakes.

And you are adding twin turbos, sounds like fun.
