Default 2001 F150 Build

Ok well I dont have detailed pictures of my truck over the years but I thought I would start a thread and keep track of it from now on.

I bought the truck about 4 years ago when it had 80,000 miles on it. It is a 2001 f150 xlt with the 5.4l in it and this is what it looked like the day I got it.

It came with the 6 inch rcd lift, 315/75 r 16 maxxis buckshot tires, 16 inch ultra motorsports wheels, hard bed cover and a flowmaster 40 exhaust.

From there the first thing I did was get rid of the bed cover and get a cross over tool box. I mounted the high lift jack later on in the trucks life but this is the only picture so it covers both

After that it was on to wheels and tires. Those maxxis were crap they didn't last long and they did not have good traction off road. After doing some research on what kind of tires I wanted I chose the Goodyear wrangler duratracs. At the time of the new tires I did not have the money to get wheels also so it was just tires for then.

The next mod was a Go Rhino brush guard with a spot for a winch and some Hella 500ff driving lights.

After that came the repair phase in the trucks life in the span of about 5000 miles I had to change shocks, ball joints, wheel bearings and rear u joints. I went with moog ball joints, wheel bearings and u joints and Pro comp 9000 shocks. This is the only image I have of doing this stuff this was when I was doing the ball joints.

Then I got back to the wheels I chose some 16 pacer bullet hole aluminum wheels. Heres a picture of the wheels and tires.

Since then I haven't done much I made a fishing rod holder and bed divider combo for it and mounted the high lift jack to the tool box.

Future plans are a winch and true dual exhaust but for now here are some of my favorite pictures of her. She has 125000 on her now and she is still running strong

Looks good, like the fishing rod idea.
