Do you think the crank can handle the hp numbers i want to eventually push?

Crank should be good for 700, cobra crack should be good for 900, then you look at billet or forged cracks for anything more.

1000 whp is a strong and very hard mark to hit. I would just spend the money on a GT500 motor and whipple it. It would be close to 900hp at the crank..

Id say go for a gt500 motor as well. You'll get it with forged internals already and they respond to mods like crazy. They'll hold up to 1000 hp easy. Look on svtperformance, them guys have some crazy 5.4 4valve set ups there, i'm sure theres tons of tips you could find there

Thanks for the tips guys.

I really want to build my own engine though. I also want this truck to be somewhat reliable. I want to build it to withstand 1500hp but i only want to push 1000hp. I just like to know that my engine will hold a lot more than I'm pushing.

Gt500 enginen+ twin turbo...or even coumpound charge, ive seen a few with a supercharger and a big single turbo on the same car
